1987 Rampage 31 SF
- Stock #068820 -
We've all heard the phrase 'Built Ford Tough"..for this boat it should be "Built Rampage Tough!"
The 31 Rampage was designed by Dick Lema to be the ultimate fishing boat for inshore and offshore waters. With her wide beam and well flared bow, she's ready for rough water. The bi-level cockpit is well designed with an extra-wide transom door to port, lockable rod storage, and an oversize livewell in the cockpit sole as well as a custom livewell off the transom.
Wide sidedecks make going forward comfortable to access the bow pulpit and deep anchor well. The helm deck features a swivel helm chair and a bench style seat to port with storage underneath. The dashboard is well laid-out with a lockable electronics cabinet facing the driver. Engine access is especially convenient using a unique system of sliding panels.
The cabin is roomy enough to sleep four - the dinette converts to a v-berth and the seat backrests swing up to form bunks. An L-shaped galley with all the necessities is to starboard and the enclosed head is to port.
This boat is fully rigged for fishing with plenty of rod holders, outriggers, and a marlin style tower with full engine controls.
The boat was re-powered in 2000 with Cummins 6BTA 5.9M Diesels. The owner claims that not only do these diesels provide more power and speed but are more fuel efficient than the standard for this model. The engines and transmission were installed with Trolling Valves for slow speed fishing for live bait. Many of the hours on the engines were spent trolling at low speed or idling.
The boat is equipped with a full range of up to date electronics to get you out there, get you fish and get you home safely, Electronics include Furuno 16 Mile Radar, Si-Tex 832 Fishfinder, Furuno FCV667 Color Depth Sounder, Northstar 952X Chartplotter, Datamarine depth, speed, log and water temperature gauge, Robertson Autopilot.
The upper station has full controls on the tower and additional equipment includes spreader lights, outriggers, a custom 50 gallon livewell in the cockpit and a custom faired livewell on the transom. There's an insulated fishbox under the port helm seat.
The present owner had constantly upgraded and improved this boat over the nearly 20 years he has had her.
Over the past 12-18 months he has replaced both Turbos, Exhaust Elbows, all hoses, replaced both raw water pumps and cleaned and serviced both aftercooler/heat exchangers. A new battery charger was recently installed.
This is a strong, tough, well set up serious fishing boat that's going to get you wherever you want to go quickly and safely. It has everything needed to find and catch fish..except you.
