Fountain is a legendary performance boat builder and began building boats in 1972. This was the really exciting days in boat racing and the new breed of high performance boats. And Reggie Fountain was there from the beginning.

This boat is aggressively for sale and her owner will consider all serious offers. Must be sold before the seasons end.

This 1993 Fountain Fever has been recently re-powered with a 2013 Mercruiser 540 CI Big Block motor and it produces 714 blown horsepower and has only 50 hours on the upgrade. Fountain designed their Fever boats to go fast with a stable ride and this one will see almost a 79 kns top speed.

If you are into power and performance this boat is for you.  The boat is fast enough to pull a skier or tube and has enough deck space for hanging out or catching some rays.

She has received many aesthetic upgrades such as new Fountain helm and Livorsi gauges as well as new rugs. Her interior is in great shape and her paint scheme is in excellent condition.

This fountain fever is looking for her new owner and her old owner is willing to entertain all offers. This Fountain can be seen by appointment by contacting the listing broker today. All serious offers will be considered and you may make an internet offer subject to your inspection.

Fountain 27 Fever Captain's Report

The 27 Fever was designed to open the door to the first time high performance boat buyer, by keeping the high performance boat building standards on a 27-foot hull. Fountain has newly designed the Fever so the novice boater can get his feet wet in the race boat market without drowning in the cost.

The 27 Fever shot out of the hole at a quick 6.7 seconds and reached 30 mile per hour in 9.9 seconds. She’s just what you would except from a small race boat. She handled the tight turns like an agile cat and reached a top speed of 72 miles per hour, with a best cruise speed of 35.8 miles per hour, and sipped on the fuel in doing so. When it comes to rough water the 27 Fever can hold its own in a moderate chop, but she was not designed for open ocean action as big waves would slow her down quite a bit.

When standing or sitting at the helm the 27 Fever newly designed wraparound windshield allows for good 360% visibility thus creating a very high comfort zone when handling this boat. The driver’s seat combined with the controls, steering wheel and instrumentation cluster seemed a bit tight, but remember this is a race boat design so everything is close for quick and easy access. The rest of the cockpit layout is very comfortable, with a three person bench seat just in front of a large sun pad which happens to be the engine hatch. There’s a swim platform with a collapsible swim ladder for those who want to take a dip and cool off.

The gunwales are nice and high and slope aft, making it easy to get in and out of this boat. The features list is comparable to that of the bigger Fountains. The forward cabin has a leather interior with a wraparound sofa, V-berth with cushion and ultra suede pillows, and a privacy curtain. There’s also a porta-potti below, making day trips much more pleasurable for everyone aboard.

The Fountain 27 Fever has been around for quite a while, but the newly designed 2002 model has a lot of qualities and that stand out in the industry. She’s quick, light, and agile, and makes a good first time high-performance buyer option. I think Fountain has made a bold statement with their newly designed 27 Fever, that’s bound to turn heads in today’s market.

ROUGH WATER DOMINATION: We’ve notched more World and National championships than the world’s largest 100 boat builders combined. From Key west to New York City to California we’ve conquered every racecourse and left the competition in our wake.

SMOOTH WATER DOMINATION: We’ve broken our own world V-bottom speed record nine times and we currently own every twin-engine V-bottom world speed record. We have no intention of throttling back anytime soon. Fountain Mercury is a company on the move, constantly looking for ways to improve what’s already the very best. Our line of performance boats stretches from 29’ to 47’ and includes the next generation designs that utilize the latest Super Ventilated Positive Lift hull technology along with our pad keels and set back transoms. These hulls are the most efficient designs in the industry – delivering unmatched speed, fuel economy and superior handling.

Our ever expanding line of fishing boats take tournament fishing and family fun to new levels! We have won an unprecedented five Southern Kingfish Association World Championships - more than any other manufacturer. We have also dominated every division in the American Striper Association winning 2 World Championships in the 5 years since its inception. Clearly Fountain is the choice of Professional fishermen worldwide. Our line of Express Cruisers in 38’ and 48’ offerings are changing the way that boaters look at cruising. For the first time a manufacturer has combined world record setting hull technology and construction with the most luxurious amenities available. Add it all up and you have a high speed, fuel efficient ride with the finest interiors and layout designs in the business.

Fountain is one of the few boat builders that:

*Produces in house almost every component part utilized on our boats – This gives us total control over the quality and design of each part installed on our boats.
*Water tests every boat that we build in actual use conditions at our factory on the water. This ensures that you get a factory tuned product that’s ready to run.
*Has embraced the Toyota production system and Lean Manufacturing throughout the entire organization to achieve the highest levels of efficiency and quality possible.

Year after year, Fountain Mercury continues to win top accolades from the marine press. Last year our newly designed 47 Lightning won Powerboat Magazine’s Offshore Boat Of the Year. Over the years Fountain has won 29 awards from Powerboat Magazine for product excellence. Our 48 Express Cruiser won Boating Magazines “Boat of the Year” and the Robb reports “Best of the Best”, the list goes on and on. Like other industries, boating technology moves fast and at Fountain Mercury we set the pace. We implement improvements in design, styling, safety and construction as breakthroughs occur. Because technology doesn't wait for model year changes, neither do we. If it’s new and improved, you'll find it first on a Fountain Mercury. And finally you'll always get more performance, more standard features and better fuel economy for a lot less money with Fountain Mercury!
