Fully restored classic yacht!
Built in 1923 by Seacraft Corp. Wilmington California, Mandarin is a carvel planked, teak on oak, copper rivets fastened custom express cruiser. She was designed by D.M. Callis, and in 1923 when she was launched was the talk of the town. Originally owned by commodore Cornish vice commodore of the California Yacht Club, her reviews of the time state " Mandarin is one of the slickest looking power cruisers turned out this year equipped in every modern way. She is distinctly Chinese and is unique in this part of the world attracting the attention of all yachtsmen"
In 1924 Pacific Coast yachting journal said " she is one of the most perfectly appointed and beautifully finished yachts to be found anywhere"
This extraordinary vessel is made primarily made of Teak- her all original hull, superstructures, deck, and much of the interior are all finished bright. Numerous bronze and Brass fittings grace this of work of art.
She is fresh water cooled and currently has less than 100 hours. She will cruise at 12 to 15 knots making her a very comfortable and economical day boat while providing luxurious overnight accommodations for a couple.
She also sports amenities such as air conditioning newly installed microwave and refrigerator, and a brand new marine head with holding tank. Interior finishes of brass and bronze fittings throughout, and soft goods combined to create a timeless elegance harking back to her original launching date of 1923.
