2005 Endeavour Catamaran Corp. Endeavour Catamaran TrawlerCat 44
“Sandpiper” has been lovingly maintained and all service records are available since she was splashed in 2005. The records are kept of every service, excursion, and repair. There isn't a better-documented vessel out there to be had!
If you're ready to go cruising right now, “Sandpiper” is ready to take you there!
When you step aboard “Sandpiper” her cockpit is like a second salon. Its huge size makes it ideal for entertaining. She has a fixed hardtop! The bug screens and Isinglass curtains protect this sunroom from weather and insects. The expandable cockpit table will comfortably seat six or more. Even expanded to full size, it's never in the way because there are port, starboard and aft exits from the cockpit. There are also 2 fans and cockpit reverse-cycle heat and air conditioning (13,000 BTU) to keep you comfortable on the hot or really cold days.
The business end of the cockpit has ample space and has every piece of electronics you could ever want. “Sandpiper” is equipped with full Raymarine electronics to include radar, chartplotter, depth finder, and two VHF’s.
The cockpit enclosure has hard glass windshields that wrap around the sides and join the side curtains. Together they keep the bad weather completely out.
Step down the companionway into this salon and you'll be astonished by it's spaciousness! No other narrow beam catamaran can boast such a spacious and comfortable salon for entertaining or just relaxing. On the port side, the second sofa has an open backrest, allowing visual contact and conversation with those in the galley. The placement of hatches and the wide fixed windows keeps the salon bright with natural light during the day.
For even more light and ventilation additional hatches have been installed in the ceiling of this TrawlerCat. And with a minimum interior height of 6 1/2 feet, the TrawlerCat 44 stands head and shoulders above the others.
The salon table can be expanded in every direction. It can be raised, lowered and opened into any number of convenient configurations, depending on your needs. This versatile, custom made table converts from a small coffee table, to a medium sized dining table and keeps unfolding into a truly huge dining table, large enough to sit eight or nine with additional chairs. The table folds out, but add the two leaves and it will expand another 14 inches on both sides.
“Sandpiper” is equipped with the most popular galley layout which is the Bi-Level galley. It is called Bi-Level because it offers the best of both worlds. With the Bi-Level layout, all of the kitchen work is out of the salon area, making the salon more spacious, while your upper body is still open to the salon so that you're able to converse with guests in the salon while keeping your dirty dishes and kitchen prep out of sight. The really big advantage of the bi-level galley is that it gives you more work area and storage than a galley up option. The Bi-Level arrangement has cupboards and drawers on both sides of the galley, and plenty of room for two, or even three people to work together without getting in each other’s way. Having the galley up gives you big windows at eye level and literally puts you right smack dab in the middle of everything.
With “Sandpiper” you get highly polished stainless steel twin sinks with hot and cold water mixer with highly filtered water for drinking, a 12 volt refrigerator / freezer that can run continuously on the Northern Lights 8kw generator or on the 3000 watt inverter, a microwave and a three burner electric stove with oven.
“Sandpiper's” master suite is located on the main level, just forward of the salon. She has been outfitted with a king size walk around bed. There are two overhead hatches that let the breezes flow in. Each hatch has a recessed sliding screen to keep the bugs out and also a sliding shade that keeps all the light out. There is a large fixed window facing forward which floods the room with natural light and also has a shade to keep the light out if desired.
In addition to the king size walk around bed, the master suite has a hanging closet, chest of drawers and shelves for books, videos, and even a space already wired for the bedroom TV/DVD. “Sandpiper” is the "head first" style with nightstands at the head of the bed. On the right you have access to the master suite's head, shower and dressing room. Just step three steps down and the head and shower are to the left (forward), the dressing room is to the right (aft). “Sandpiper” is outfitted with a master suite dressing area. The "back-to-back" head and dressing area in the same hull is the most popular layout.
There are identical guest staterooms fit for a queen located aft in each hull. Each stateroom has a queen size bed, a dressing area and a hanging closet with drawers beneath. There is plenty of room for everything to have its place. If you don't want to run the central air conditioning, opening ports with screens will let the breezes flow through. Every stateroom has 12-volt fans that keep the air moving even when the air outside is still. There are also 12-volt reading lights in addition to the overhead light. With the three staterooms in opposite corners of the boat, you have the utmost privacy for yourself and for your guests.
Endeavour TrawlerCats are known for having bright, functional, well-ventilated heads with large, separate shower stalls. “Sandpiper” carries on this tradition in a big way! “Sandpiper” has two complete heads with showers. She is outfitted with the most common layout, which is to have one head in the bow of each hull. The starboard head is accessed from the owner's stateroom and is the owner's private head. The head in the bow of the port hull is for guests. Both heads are identical mirror images of each other. The heads are roomy, well ventilated and have a much larger than normal shower. Her sinks are Corian, the counter-tops are Gibraltar and the fixtures are high-polish, stainless steel.
“Sandpiper” is powered by twin 240 HP Yanmar turbo diesels. These silky smooth engines move this trawler along at over 16 knots. Economical cruising speed is about 7 to 8 knots. At this speed, the total fuel consumption for both engines is 3 gallons per hour or less. If time or weather requires that you move more quickly, you can cruise comfortably at 15 knots and burn 14 gallons per hour.
The engines are located under the bunks in the aft staterooms. Access for service is excellent! In addition to the door in front of the engine, the whole top of the engine compartment lifts off and there is actually enough room to stand in the engine compartment while you're servicing them. The engine strainer and air conditioning strainer are conveniently located in their own well right there at the front of the engine. Easy to get at and easy to service!
"Many Endeavour TrawlerCat owners do most of their own maintenance. Like our owners, we like to go boating, not do maintenance, so we do all we can to make servicing our boats as quick and easy as possible. Things like locating all filters and strainers in convenient, easy to get at places, making sure that engine access is as good as is physically possible to achieve. And we include electric oil pump outs for both engines and generator, making oil changes quicker and much less messy."
