From Boating Magazine:
Bryant doesn't want to be a high-volume builder. It'd rather be big on service and quality, as evidenced by the new 233 Walkabout. Every inch of the 233 Walkabout's hull is hand-laid fiberglass to produce a more consistent laminate. Stringers, floor, transom and even seat bases are fiberglass, composites or polyethylene to prevent rot. Even something as simple as a pinstripe stands apart. It's not a sticker but instead molded directly into the gelcoat.
Once finished, hulls sit in the mold for days, not hours. It is construction reminiscent of a high-end ski boat, and that influence is seen in the Walkabout's layout. A continuous, J-shaped seat runs along the port and aft side of the cockpit, finishing behind the helm. Behind the port console, the entire seat hinges open for ski-boat-like stowage. Behind the aft seat, a beefy, removable ski pylon guarantees a solid pull. Seat backs even fold up out of the aft sun pad to allow rear-facing backrests which are appreciated when gearing up for skiing or lounging on the hook.
Bryant mounts the gas tank forward, which results in minimal bowrise as the craft powers onto plane. With a MerCruiser 350 MAG MPI/Bravo III combo, the 233 reached 30 mph in a quick 6.6 seconds, topping out at 53.8 mph. It even carves like a ski boat, displaying very aggressive handling with little banking.
