Morgan classic design
Designer: Charlie Morgan
Builder: Heritage Yacht Corp. (USA)
History-In 1965 Charlie Morgan joined forces with long time friend, Bruce Bidwell, and began to built the successful MORGAN 34. This was followed, most notably, by the MORGAN 24, 30,38, 41, and 45. The line grew to include a great number of cruising and racing yachts.
Over 600 Morgan 38 sailboats were constructed between the late 1960s and the 1990s for the charter market. They were essentially a center cockpit version of the Out Island 41. Very spacious, sturdy and safe. They were built from solid glass with a balsa core deck. These yachts have a reputation as a safe comfortable cruiser.
Layout- Forward V-berth (full size), forward head/shower, saloon w/port and starboard settee, galley with propane stove/oven, two bowl stainless sink, refrigeration and freezer, nav station, port side walk companion way to aft cabin w/full size bed and separate head and shower.
The interior is all teak with Formica wall panels.
