Tortuga is a solid, powerfully built coastal trawler with impressive range. It is a go anywhere, high-bowed open water vessel.

According to Robert M. Lane; Passagemaker author, the Tortuga is “50 tons. Forty-eight feet. Single Diesel. Bow thruster. Flopper stoppers. Four thousand mile range”.

A wonderful add came out in the Passagemaker magazine  by Robert M. Lane  describing what has to be the most unique trawler that I have ever seen.  The Tortuga was built in Maple Ridge BC, by Small’s Marine Enterprise, to be a pocket seiner (a commercial fishing vessel).  However it ended up as an exquisite looking pleasure boat that will proudly take one from Alaska to South America without a worry in the world.

Recently improved granite and tile in the water closet and galley add charming warmth to the comfortable spacious main cabin, while upgraded electronics assure safe and sure passage to any place you can imagine.  The newly installed water maker and solar system, along with the solid construction of this boat, makes the Tortuga the perfect long range vessel.  With 3-5000 mile fuel capacity this Tortuga is sure to finish ahead of the rest!

If you are looking for that one of a kind, eye catching, breath taking, go anywhere vessel, this is the boat for you! Don’t let this one pass you buy.

It is a must see  to believe it's beauty.

Sleeps two. Owners and guests in one stateroom plus salon berth for a total of three accommodations (lazarette includes four crew berths). One enclosed head, Shower / Water Closet.

Stepping on to the Tortuga lands you at the after deck of the boat shaded by a delightful upper deck extension with steering station to starboard, walk-around side deck access and ladder to Flybridge and boat deck. This area is perfect for lounging and enjoying the fresh sea air.  Heading forward we enter the main cabin which was enlarged from the original build in 1986.  Upon entering through the port side companion way you will cross the hatch entrance, to what was once a 4 person crew berthing area that is now primarily used for supplies and stowage.  Off to the starboard side is an private enclosed head, moving forward is the separate bathing area with  large walk in shower, large vanity, a wall of storage, and topped off with granite counter top. This is adding to the vessel's cruising comfort.  Forward now continuing past the companion way opens up to the spacious steering station with all the electronics needed to head into the deep blue.  Next forward to starboard is the modernized, well equipped, galley and its granite counter tops and, tile accents throughout. Port side is a settee also used as cruising birth  that gives ease of viewing the flat panel TV .  Forward most is the dinette to starboard, that also converts to sleeping. The helm is to port with all the electronic goodies need for cruising. The large amount windows give you a great views of your surroundings.

Forward most is the master stateroom, down the steep ladder, with semi island queen berth under over storage and a pair of hanging lockers.

Amidships, you will find the engine room with stand up walk around access.

The upper deck is large and has a lot of room for the toys, or just relaxing.  there is currently a upper helm station that is currently ready to ad, a second steering station as the hydraulic system is pre plumbed.

 Galley is amidships main deck.
