One of the later examples of the long run of Taiwan-built trawlers, this one incorporates all the improvements in design & construction by decades of building experience. A recent survey is available which indicates this example is in really good structural and mechanical condition, not needing any major work like you can find with older models. The Lehman 135 HP engine has less than 25 hours since a full rebuild and looks like new. New fuel tanks are another nice feature since any example with original tanks are nearing the end of their life. If you are interested in a nice example of the classic Taiwan built 34' trawler then you should take a look at this one.

I do not have reliable information regarding the tankage, so I estimated actual volumes based on averages of many similar models. The two fuel tanks were recently replaced and have lovely diamond plate joinery work in the engine room.

There is less than 25 hours since the Ford Lehman 6 cylinder engine had a major overhaul according to the recent survey. It looks very clean, almost new. The hour meter at the lower helm reads 2057 hours and it currently works. These engines are know to get 20,000 hours before requiring a major rebuild with regular maintenance and keeping the freshwater cooling system clean. Parts are readily available and this is an engine a mechanical owner can work on themselves. There is good access to the engine room and plenty of room to work.

These trawlers with the Lehman are known to be extremely efficient at displacement speeds. At 7 knots and 1500- 1700 rpm you can expect to burn 2 gallons per hour or 3.5 miles per gallon. This is quite impressive for a floating two bedroom/2 bath summer cottage. You can push the hull into semi-displacement to gain a couple knots but you will also double your fuel burn.
