1990 Jefferson Hershine
42' Jefferson Hershine Sundeck Motoryacht 1990
The entry to the master is located at aft salon and slightly toward center from the starboard side and down 3 stairs. The queen berth is positioned to the port side with the head board pointed to the stern. There is an in-suite wet head. Adjacent to the head on the centerline bulkhead is a built-in vanity. This master also has a connecting cabin with settee hanging locker, drawers and hidden washer dryer combo unit. There is another shower compartment here too. The aft or master suite has plenty of natural light with operational window and overhead hatch for good ventilation.
Guests Mid Cabin
The guest’s cabin is located directly across from the galley to the starboard side. This cabin has a double berth with stowage under, a hanging locker and port light window. The day head is positioned forward of this cabin on the starboard side (no adjoining access). The day head is a wet head - this allows for a much larger head configuration. Here you will find a manual toilet, a sink, assorted storage cabinets, a port light for ventilation, a large mirror and heavy teak great with sump drain under. This is a very nice size common head.
Forepeak Guest Cabin
Exit the common head into the companionway and forward through the bulkhead with privacy door. This cabin features an offset berth for two positioned to the starboard side with draws below. Positioned to the port side is a vanity with hanging locker next to the entry. There are two port light windows and overhead hatch for natural light and ventilation.
From the aft deck and forward enter the salon through the double door phone booth style entry and down 4 stairs to the salon. Here is where you will begin to get a sense of how spacious this 42 really is. The 14’ beam allows for some great room over lesser beam 42’s. The salon features a full length starboard side U-shaped dinette seating area with good storage space under cushions. The dinette can be converted to a double sleeper for overflow guest; with three staterooms, I am sure this berth will get only infrequent use. To the port side there is a built-in hidden bar and entertainment area. Forward to port is the pilot house door with compact lower helm alongside.
From the salon and forward and down three stairs you will find a well -equipped galley located to the port side.
There are teak cabinets above and below the counter for cooking utensils, pots, pans and dry goods.
- Single Stainless Steel Sink
- Cabinets: 3 above, 1 below and 6 Drawers - all teak
- Stove: 3 Burner - Magic Chef with Oven (Propane)
The engine room quick check access is located amidships on the bulkhead under the stairs to the galley. If full access is needed, practically the entire salon floor is removable. This is exceptional considering full access can be gained in just minute for complete engine and machinery access.
