1997 Custom Steel Trawler Pilothouse

Kiki is a well-built custom steel trawler. She started her life as a fishing boat in Alaska and was her builder's 83rd boat. She was converted in 1999 to her present layout. She has two staterooms and two heads and she will sleep four between the front berth and the queen bed in the aft area. With a single Mitsubishi diesel and four hundred gallons of diesel she can cruise 1400 miles between fill ups. She is a well-built steel hull boat that still retains her fishing vessel charm. She is great for anything from cruising to Alaska to living aboard or both
Accommodations for four. The forward v-berth sleeps two comfortably. Adequate stowage in bins and lockers. The Aft cabin settee converts to a queen berth. Full head with separate shower is located in the aft cabin. The second head is located in the pilothouse area. The very spacious pilothouse has full windows for great visibility forward and abeam.
The Galley is along the Starboard side with cabinets and counter top. Across is the dinette with seating for four. Knotty pine planks trim out the main cabin with solid oak flooring throughout the main cabin.

The master stateroom has a settee that converts to a queen berth. The main head is also located off the master stateroom. This stateroom is a comfortable place to hang out during the day and is very spacious when it is time to turn in for the night.
This is a V-berth comfortable for 2 and has adequate stowage in bins and lockers.
The Deck is on three levels. Aft deck, side decks and Pilothouse, foredeck. The mast is mounted aft on the pilothouse and has a 4” diameter aluminum boom. Aft on the Starboard side of the house is a double door to the interior. An emergency escape hatch is in the back wall of the aft cabin. To starboard is a ladder up to the cabin top. The aft deck is 5' long and has an aluminum watertight hatch to the lazarette. There is ample space on the upper deck for dinghy and outboard. The anchor is a 60# Forfjord #6 safety anchor with 75' of 3/8 chain and 250 feet of galvanized steel cable spooled onto the drum windless. Second anchor is a 40# Bruce anchor with approx. 300' of rode.
