General Details
Penny Mae is a very special yacht that has gone through various mechanical and interior updates in the past two years. She is hull #2 in the Richmond series and was previously named “Keri Lee”. Movie buffs may recognize her as the stunning yacht that was featured in the motion picture “Fools Gold”. Her interior is very warm and in impeccable condition. She can accommodate up to twelve guests in six staterooms including a full beam Master suite, a bridge deck VIP suite, and 4 suites below decks featuring two queen size aft, and two twins forward. All guest cabins are complete with their own ensuites and all have their own spa baths. Crew accommodations for up to 8 crew are arranged in 4 cabins, 3 forward and a separate engineers cabin aft.

- ACCOMODATIONS/WALKTHROUGH:
- Starting below, the lower deck is comprised of the four guest suites, complete with its own service area/foyer. One up is the Main deck comprising of a gracious salon area, commercial grade galley, master stateroom and formal dining area. Heading aft, the salon opens via automatic doors to an oversized deck with exterior tables for informal dining and entertaining. Going up again finds you on the Bridge deck where is found the wheelhouse or bridge forward, the VIP guest suite just behind and the main entertainment area – the Sky Lounge which takes up the majority of this level. As on the main deck, automatic sliding doors lead you outside, this time onto the Bridge deck aft, the second formal dining area and entertainment location. Here also is a BBQ for more informal occasions. Steps from the bridge deck aft lead up to the top and final level, known as the Sundeck. Forward is a helm station surrounded by guest seating, complete with 2 cocktail tables. Above all this is a retractable sun-roof which offers both sun or shade. Centrally located is the popular Jacuzzi and then out from under the roof there is a 5 bed sun lounge and optional overhead awning. Towards the rear of this deck, more seating is available and also storage for the vessels’ small tender and its accompanying davit.
- MAIN DECK:
- Entering the yacht through the automatic doors on the aft deck you enter the spacious Main Salon. The Salon has a spacious bar and features an entertainment center with satellite TV and a media center with a selection of more than 800 movie titles and 2500 song titles. Forward of the Salon is the formal dining area that can accommodate twelve guests comfortably. Moving forward, 2 stairwells access both the lower cabins and the Bridge deck above from the main foyer, off of which is the day head, master suite and full service galley.
- BRIDGE DECK:
- This deck features the Sky lounge that includes a full bar and comfortable seating throughout. For entertainment this area has the full media center in addition to a play station and X-box, all viewed on a large flat screen, pop-up HDTV. Forward of the skylounge is the bridge which features state of the art electronics including redundancy systems for all radar and navigation. There is a comfortable sofa behind the helm for guests to enjoy the views through the bridge windows. Just aft of the bridge is a day head, found opposite the VIP guest suite. This 6 th stateroom has all the amenities of a master suite, including outside views. Heading back out of the skylounge is the aft deck and dining area, with its beautiful wood dining table, capable of seating all 12 guests. This outside area is able to be fully enclosed with wind shields so is suitable for nearly all conditions.
- MASTER STATEROOM:
- Entered from the starboard hallway, the Master Suite is a full beam stateroom with separate his and hers ensuites complete with a tub and a steam shower. Also featuring is a sofa, an office area and generous closet space, again for both his and hers. Facing the centrally located king size bed is a 50” flush mounted HDTV capable of screening the media centers’ many movies and/or music, satellite TV and any movies played on the Blue Ray disc player.
- VIP STATEROOM:
- The VIP cabin is located on the bridge deck features an angled queen size bed and a dressing table and chair. The suite includes an oversized ensuite head with spa bath.
- BELOW DECK ACCOMODATIONS:
- Upon navigating the stairwell to the lower staterooms, you find a common foyer area. To forward there are 2 cabins that feature twin side by side berths and ensuite heads. To aft there are 2 staterooms that feature queen size beds and ensuite heads. All of the staterooms have abundant hanging and drawer storage throughout.
- SUNDECK:
- The Sun Deck has a universal mounting system for carrying tenders and toys. There is a large awning and commercial umbrellas over the sun deck chairs. Forward of this is the large Jacuzzi spa and sumptuous chairs to relax or watch the flat screen drop down TV. There is also a retractable sun roof if you wish to enjoy the sun or watch the stars at night. The M.Y. Penny Mae has a very elegant interior and exterior design. She was built for comfortable family cruising.

- HULL CONSTRUCTION:
- Hull: The hull is built to ABS standards as follows: Bottom – two layers of foam – A700 Core-cell, 1 ¼ “each with a layer of fiberglass in between: Topsides – one layer of 1 ½ “A500 Core-Cell foam House and Decks – 1 ½” A500 Core-Cell foam House (various areas) – 1 1/4 “A500 Core-Cell foam The resin used is Hydrex modified vinylester on the outside of the hull and ISO resins everywhere else. The hull cores are vacuum bagged. The bottom of the keel is 5” thick. Hergarboards from the inboard stringers to the keel are solid fiberglass of 2 ½” in thickness. All penetrations in the boat, including through-hulls, stabilizers, rudders, etc. pass through solid fiberglass.
