General Details
Make an offer! Owner wants it sold - NOW! This is an incredible opportunity that will not be seen again!
This is your chance to customize and finish a very rare Cartwright 40 to your liking! For very short money you get a boat that's already 1/3 complete and comes with nearly EVERYTHING you need to complete. High quality interior work has been started, including teak inlays. Bring your time, tools and dreams!
Jerry Cartwright designs are famous for being enormously strong yachts that can be easily sailed by one or two people. As a racer, he wanted speed for fast passages and, when he wasn’t single-handing, a comfortable and eye-pleasing layout below decks for 4-6 persons.
Jerry’s own experience created the Cartwright signature profile of uncluttered, flush deck, deep cockpit, full keel and generous freeboard for a fast, strong, go-anywhere design.
All work completed to this point was done by a lifelong craftsman who planned to finish the boat, retire and cruise. Unfortunately, life got in the way. The dream now is that someone else will finish her and enjoy their own time on the water.
All that's needed to complete her are sails, standing rigging and turnbuckles - EVERYTHING else is included in the sale.
