Several improvements have been made to this Ocean 55.  NEW INTERIOR CARPET AND SOFA INSTALLED THIS SEPTEMBER.   The cockpit deck was orginally a teak deck and the owner had all of the teak removed.  He had a new deck with non-skid installed to allow for much easier clean up and maintainence.  Also this new deck is much cooler to the bare feet.   New flybridge isenglass and canvas  with eyebrows where installed in March 2012. The flybridge has a hardtop with hatches.   The boat is completely fish rigged with Rupp Outriggers.  A Pompanette Fighting Chair is included but was not remounted on the new cockpit deck.  There is a set of dingy chocks mounted on the fordeck but are not being used.

Engines

Both Detroit Diesels have been rebuilt and are ready to run.  The Starboard Engine was rebuilt last year and has about 100 hours run time.  The Port engine was rebuilt a few years ago and has around 500 hours.  Lots of life in these engines and will give you years of service.   She has a Westerbeke AF 7053 Generator with very low hours.  Engine room easily accessed from cockpit.

Accommodations

When entering the Main Salon you will notice that there are lots of windows and light makeing riding a pleasure.  The L Shaped couch is to port and the dinnette is on the starboard side forward.  An entertainment center with stereo, TV and a wet bar with icemaker and cabinets is forward of the seating area.  A High - Low table is a nice addition.   This Ocean 55 has three seperate Staterooms and two heads with showers. The Master Stateroom: Located forward in the vessel and has an island Queen size bed.
