This is one of the fastest Farr 30's in the world today. She finished 5th last year in the Farr 30 World Championships at the Rolex Big Boat Series on the San Francisco Bay with the only all amateure crew. She sports a brand new Southern Spars carbon fiber mast. The previous one was damaged and the replacement cost was close to $40,000, together with the new upper rod shrouds. The sail inventory sports 14 bags, mostly North Sails, with a Quantum main and jib used only once, at the Worlds. She has 5 B&G displays, 2 in the cockpit and 3 on the mast. I spoke to another active Farr 30 crew member who said he spent a lot of time looking at Wild Thing's transom! The boat is loaded, rigged and ready for the 2013 Worlds in Rhode Island...
