General Details
The Sigma 8 Metre Sport is a one off design that has been built for yachting enthusiasts of all ages. It can easily be sailed by a crew of four in all wind conditions. With its' simple rig and sail plan there are no built in speed limits. There is a lifting keel which makes it easy to trailer. It can be launched and rigged without the use of a crane.

The weight that is saved by the lighter construction due to vacuum injection systemand sandwich bulkheads is used for extra laminate at the stress areas of the hull (keel sole, slamming area etc.). So this boat is as stiff and strong as possible within the limits from the One design rule for the8 M od class.
