The Lady Be was build in 1983 as a “One-off” by Beneteau at Riez, France
Design of German Frers type: 456, IOR 2 ton.
Serial number of the yard: BEY00330383
After the yacht was build for Beneteau’s own account she was rented out to team New Zealand for the Admirals Cup of 1984.
During this AC she was skippered by Sir Peter Blake.
After the cup she was sold to the United States were she won some races like the Florida series 1985.
On November 27th 2009 she was bought by her present Dutch owner.
In march 2010 she was shipped by Sevenstar to the Netherlands.
This owner sailed charters during the season 2010, 2011 and 2012 on the IJsselmeer in The Netherlands.
After every season the boat was placed in a heated shed during the wintertime.
During her stay in the US from November 2009 and March 2010, the hull was sanded and painting with VC Offshore anti fouling.
Above the waterline the hull was sanded and sprayed with All-Gripp “Snow White”.
The waterline was sprayed in All Gripp Med Bleu Metallic.
During the winter season of 2010-2011, the deck was refitted and painted.
Also intensive technical work was carried out on deck gear and winches.
During the winter season of 2011-2012 the engine and hydraulic motor was given a overhaul.
New batteries were installed.
