Remarks

As with most Manta power catamarans “Laughing Moon” is a beautifully well designed yacht for long distance cruising and is extremely economical to run.  Her present and only owner was in the factory weekly overseeing construction of hull #14 . Her owner has cruised the Caribbean on both power and sail catamarans extensively for the last twenty years and has equipped his yacht perfectly for doing so. She is the perfect yacht for a cruising couple with occasional guests. The three staterooms and two heads make for the perfect yacht to entertain a second couple or several friends. The yacht has a low center of gravity and low overhead height. This makes for great sea handling and allows the yacht to easily pass under most bridges without opening them. The large Volvo Penta D-4 225 hp engines are more than ample to cruise at eight knots burning a total of 2.5 gallons per hour (gph) or she can get up and run 20 knots burning 20 gph. The yacht has great sea keeping qualities and has additional lift strakes for getting up on plane. Her draft is less than three feet. Her Nobeltec electronics are easily run from both the laptop computer at her interior navigation table or the external helm station in the cockpit. There are solar panels on the hardtop allowing the batteries to stay charged while on the hook. In addition to a full sized refrigerator freezer there is a second freezer in the salon and an ice maker in the cockpit. The yacht is easy to view most anytime in Stuart, Florida.
