This well maintained Stamas Express 290 EX is located in Rhode Island.
Just about every important (and expensive) part of this boat is either new or
replaced in the past 2 years, PLUS the price includes a Venture Trailer that has
very light usage. Right now (April 2014), there are ZERO hours on the engine.
The owner is replacing the motor with a NEW long block and alternator, the starter was just done (2014), the exhaust manifolds were done last October (2013), and also last October the shaft and the prop were cleaned and balanced. The owner wants to move down to a smaller boat, but will fish this one until sold, and insists that his boat be fully functional, and he replaces anything that
is questionable. Consequently what you get with this Stamas is a VERY well maintained boat, with a long list of new equipment.
The windlass and the bow thruster were brand new in 2012 along with the transmission, transmission lines, coolers, engine hoses, risers, brass prop redone and a new cutlass bearing. There were about $25,000 in upgrades in 2012 alone.
New bolsters and cushions were added in 2013.
This Stamas EX is equipped with bow thruster, windlass, auto-pilot, Standard Horizon GX2100, Raymarine L760 Radar chartplotter, a Raymarine RL70C Radar, a Si-Tex Color Max wide GPS/Chartplotter, and a Simrad VHF. This boat is very well equipped.
She makes a great fishing boat, with it's large aft cockpit providing 360 degree visibility, deep livewell, easily accessible transom door, rod holders and rocket launchers.
The raised helm enhances visibility and the new side and rear canvas and eisenglass make for clear viewing even on those inclement days, and protection for the boat when you're not aboard.
From the aft cockpit you move forward to the helm station with access to the more than ample
cabin a few steps down thru the port side door entry. A well equipped galley is to port with a 2 burner stove, toaster oven and refrigerator.
To starboard is the head with a sink and handheld shower, and aft of the head and under the helm
location is a very reasonably sized area for additional berths or just for storage.
Moving forward, the forward berth is very comfortable. New cushions and bolsters make for an inviting spot to lay back and watch the new flat screen TV, or just read a book while listening to the stereo.
Trade in to a smaller boat will be considered
If you are an avid fisherman, as the current owner is, you should come see this one.
