General Details

The Hatteras 43 is a traditional flush deck motor yacht with a comfortable ride, quality construction and spacious accommodations which made her one of the most popular moor yachts ever built. She is as in-demand today as she was when first introduced.

Construction is solid fiberglass, and her modified-V hull features shallow deadrise at the transom and a long keel for stability.

Inside the salon is extremely open, and teak paneling and cabinetry are found in every cabin.

This is an ORIGINAL OWNER yacht that was in the process of going through a major refit when the owner passed away.  The engines have approximately 1000 ORIGINAL HOURS.  Not rebuilt.  The hull looks to be in good shape.  It looks as if it might have been recently painted.  The house has been prepped for paint.  It has been completely sanded.

We installed new batteries and the Detroit 6V71 Natural engines imediately came to life without any smoke.  We had a fuel cooler leak which we have replaced on the port engine.  The port engine also had a bad riser which we have removed and is being replaced.  The Starboard engine needs the fuel cooler replaced and had a bad starter which we are getting rebuilt.  The starboard engine has a new transmission and stainless riser.  The Onan 7.5 KW Generator works fine and all three air conditioners cool.  The fresh water pump works and we have not figured out if the heads are workgin or the condition of the fuel.

The boat has numerous leaks and the windows need to be re-caulked and the wood in the galley underneath the window is in very poor condition and needs to be replaced.  This is purely cosmetic.

With a fresh house paint, new caulked windows, new carpeting, a bottom job this will be a VERY nice yacht.
