Built in Ontario, Canada, the CML 37 is a reflection of C&C Yachts 15 year mastery of the marine environment. The Commericial Marine Division of C&C Yachts draws from the company's vast experience and expertise with laminates, structual systems, engineering skills and quality workmanship. Commercial Marine adds its experience with powerboat repair and rebuilding, as well as, its work with hi-tech paramilitary vessels. All of this means detailed attention to design, engineering and construction by a staff of seasoned professionals in the marine environment.

Fully moulded construction with aluminum windows and only the cap rail as exterior teak should keep maintenance to a minimun. Spacious aft cabin with centerline Island double berth. Recent remodeling of the interior and continous maintenance of the power along with numerous electonic upgrades make for a nice ready to cruise package.

"Grape Escape" has recently undergone new hull paint and a bottom job costing over $30,000.  She was also completely bonded and all batteries were replaced around 12 months ago.  Both ACs have been replaced in the last 18 months. Her hard top is the nicest top you will find on any comparable yacht!


She is a very seaworthy vessel built in Ontario, Canada by C&C Yachts. Now days most sailboat companies are making trawlers - C&C was ahead of its time back in the mid-eighties. They were the first sailboat company to bring forward their quality sailboat construction techniques and craftsmanship that sailboaters demand, and build a trawler. Unfortunately they built less than twenty and didn't ask enough money for them. They over-engineered the CML trawler and it drove them out of production. Too bad, because the CML 37 is a fine boat ahead of its time. "Grape Escape" is a great example of their quality workmanship and in excellent condition. ALL her systems have been checked out and rebuilt or new where necessary. LOW hours on her Volvo engines and genset. She offers the cruise capability of a long range trawler. She is extremely fit and comfortable. Her deck/pilot house is wide with excellent visibility with a fantastic hard top! She also has aluminum tanks for water and fuel. She has been built with every requirement for extended cruising. She has performance economy and luxury.  "Grape Escape" is in excellent condition and ready to cruise!
The main salon has a sound insulated teak and holly sole, L-shaped dinette/lounge including fold-out table. The galley is located salon level and egonomically designed to be very efficient. There is a lower helm station on the starboard side with a door leading to the wide decks. The port side also has a door leading to its side deck. The Master Stateroom aft has a queen size walk-around bed, separate head with vanity/sink, and a separate shower with sink. There is a companionway door and removable ladder to the aft deck. The guest stateroom is forward with privacy door, head, built in drawers and closet. The double berth forms a settee when not in use with built in storage lockers. From the Salon, out either door to the wide decks with sturdy SS railings at upper thigh level. The Command Bridge is extremely large and well laid out with bench seating and table with moulded stairs from the trunk cabin top to the Bridge.  
The main Salon has an "L" shaped settee with a table with storage inside and fold-out leaves. All of the settee cushions lift off with full storage inside. On the starboard side is the inside helm station with full complement of gauges and electronics. Diagonally opposite the settee is the Up-Galley. Entrance to the engine room is either through the lift up teak and holly sole hatches or the lift up stairs from the Guest Stateroom. You will be amazed at the size of the fly bridge. It has two long bench seats with new cushions and sunbrella covering. There is storage the full length of these bench seats. There is a centerline Captains Helm seat also covered in the sunbrella fabric and new cushions. A large table with plenty of storage and two fold out leaves with movable fiddles is in the center behind the helm seat. This is a great entertainment and eating location. The whole bridge is topped off with a custom fiberglass hardtop with aluminum frame. So much better than a bimini top and with plenty of standup headroom. There is a fold down mast with the radar's radome, TV antennea, cockpit floodlight, steaming light, and anchor light. It has a boom that could be used for lifting, however because of the swim platform crane, it's not used. Every system on thsi boat has been gone through and updated.  No expense spared.  This boat was recently hauled out of the water and $30,000 was spent on a new awlgrip hull paint job and bottom job. Excellent cruising boat for the trawler crowd that wants a reliable boat with low hours. Her T/165hp Volvo engines will cruise her in the 8-9 knot range with WOT at 10 knots.
