General Details

KITTY HAWK is the "in Great Condition" Pilot.  She is a 4–berth sloop with tiller steering.  Beautifully kept and many upgrades.  Vacuflush head, nearly new sails, perfect varnish.  Call for showing.

INTRODUCTION
KITTY HAWK was thoughtfully rebuilt in 1996 with every detail in mind and she has been continuously upgraded through 2013 - including sails, cockpit winches, electronics, batteries, toe rails, handrails, coamings, Awlgrip topsides, head and holding tank, interior lighting, etc.  (Upgrades section at the end of this listing.)
HULL and DECK
Flag Blue Awlgrip topsides (2005 by Hinckley) White Awlgrip deck (2005) with contrasting molded-in non-skid. Gold cove stripe White boot Stripe Red bottom paint Varnished (2013) teak exterior trim Construction: Hull is hand laid fiberglass. 6” flange in the hull receives the deck and when fiberglassed and bolted - forms a permanent hull deck joint. Stainless steel cap over the varnished teak rub rail. External 4,200 lbs. lead keel = 5’ Draft. Deck Features include: Stainless steel bow roller and mount for anchor. Stainless steel bow pulpit and stern pulpits. Stainless steel stanchions with lifelines with gates. Varnished (2013) teak toe rails, cabin house eyebrows and cabin top handrails. Herreshoff-style white interior bulkheads and sides with varnished Philippine mahogany trim.  White fiberglass interior overhead – easy to maintain.
