Highly modified racing trimaran. It has been extended from 12' to 14' beam for more stability and speed. Carbon fiber bow sprit for drifter. Mylar racing main and Mylar roller furling jib. All sails are just 1 year old. New standing and running rigging. Carbon fiber tiller extension. Extra practice sails.
The boat folds for trailering. Older trailer is included.

- The 18' Sailbird trimarans were built in Largo Fl in the mid '70's. These are folding, trailerable boats with a swing centerboard and swing up rudder. Perfect for shallow water sailing. This Sailbird trimaran has been highly modified from the standard boat in 2012. It has been extended from 12' to 14' beam for more stability and speed. Carbon fiber bow sprit for drifter. Mylar racing main and roller furling jib build by Banks Sails in Tampa, Fl. All sails are just 1 year old. New standing and running rigging. Carbon fiber tiller extension. New Trampolines. The boat folds for trailering. These are fast, fun trimarans. In light winds she moves at 4-5 knots with almost no effort. Big Red has been clocked at 11 knots sailing flat and fast. No tipping or leaning like monohulls or catamarans!
