This is a 1987 Revenge 20 WT with near new, under warranty Evinrude 150 eTec, with less than 30 hours. No trailer.
This boat was purchased from its original owner in Ohio last April, and it has been a fresh water mild usage babied boat for nearly all of its life. Re-powered last June, bottom painted for the first time, and was used last season as a kiddie-shuttle and Barnegat Bay cruiser.
$15,000 alone invested for the new power, with new gauges, cables, and controls.
She runs flawlessly, although shows her age with a fiberglass ding here or there. She is solid and safe however, and the engine has her on plane with head-snapping thrust. She will top out at 40 mph, but enjoys a real economical cruising at about 27 mph. The e-tec is a fast, lightweight, and yet economical power plant for this boat, which has a 77 gallon tank. The floor is solid, and the hull is rock hard and steady.
Owner is selling her because his shore home has to be torn down and rebuilt. Sandy has hit Normandy Beach particularly hard. The owners house unfortunately included.
During Hurricane Sandy she was sitting on blocks in front of the owners home. He pulled her out of the water the weekend before the storm. She is completely undamaged. She was lifted in the flood off her blocks, floated in front of the house and once the flood receded she lay on the front lawn.
Insurance covered moving her to McCarthy Marine, where she was cleaned up. Confirmed with adjusters that the engine is pristine, and the hull is undamaged. Insurance did covered the loss of the weather curtain set, some cushions, and winterizing her and shrink-wrapping her.
This boat has the potential to be a real beauty, whether you fish or cruise she is reliable with brand new power, Owner has 25K invested. The boat is now blocked and wrapped, and he will show it to anyone who is interested.
