General Details

SHEVARD is a center cockpit cruiser designed and built for long distance voyaging or living aboard. This boat has been to the islands and is set up to return. It is very nicely equipped for living aboard and its condition shows that it has been well maintained and loved. This is a capable boat and is the perfect boat for an affordable sojourn to the ocean community - it's loaded with all the right stuff including a Westerbeke Generator for Air Conditioned comfort at anchor! The Perkins 4-108 engine is strong, with 400 hours since a complete rebuild in 2008!

Vessel Walkthrough
This vessel has been well maintained and shows very nicely. Her center cockpit is roomy and can be completely enclosed with the newer canvas bimini and Eisenglass. The helmsman has good access to all sheets. The ship's wheel is mounted at the aft end of the cockpit with good access to the throttle and shift controls, as well as the auto-pilot and Danforth Compass. The deck is clean and uncluttered and the gunwale is protected with life lines, bow and stern rails. The interior is spacious with private aft and forward cabins, each with separate heads. A large saloon is amidships. Entering from the companionway, a U-shaped galley is to port with a convertible dinette forward. To starboard can be found a navigation station and settee/berth. There are ample lockers, cabinets and drawers throughout. The interior, with its 6’5” headroom is light and airy with opening ports and hatches. The varnished teak trim gives a rich appearance. There is good access to the engine compartment which is located to port in the passageway to the aft cabin.     Galley The U-shaped galley is conveniently located a few steps down and to port from the cockpit and just aft of the dinette. The cook can just as easily pass a warm cup of soup up to the helmsman as to serve the crew in the dinette. There is a new Force stainless steel gimbaled three- burner stove/oven, a sink with H/C pressure water, Premium refrigerator and a separate Majic Chef freezer and a Haier Microwave. There is ample storage for all galley necessities. The serious sailor will appreciate the mid-ships position and U-shaped design which makes preparing meals in a seaway possible.     Electronics Eclipse Standard VHF radio, Depth Sounder, Garmin 2006C GPS/Plotter, CPT Autopilot, Clarion Stereo and a Symphony Flat Screen TV w/ DVR     Electrical Both 12v and 110v electrical systems. There are 4 new 12v batteries (2 House, 1 Gen start and 1 Engine start) located in acid proof boxes well secured in the engine room that provide power through a vapor tight spark proof switch to the ship electrical distribution panel. The 110v system is provided power from a 30 amp shore power cord. There is a Pro Mariner Battery Charger that maintains battery voltage while the shore power cord is connected as well as a Freedom 1000Watt Inverter. Battery voltage is maintained by the engine alternator while under power and two Shell 75 Watt Solar Panels while under sail. Additionally, there is a Westerbeke 3.8 BCDT Generator in a sound shield and a Mermaid 16,500 BTU A/C system.     Deck And Hull The decks are uncluttered and safe. There are life lines, bow and stern rails and cabin top mounted hand rails. There are adequate chucks and cleats to properly secure the vessel. Also installed are new Stainless steel dinghy davits, and a Magma BBQ. There is 9' fiberglass dinghy w/ a Tohatsu 5HP 4 stroke outboard The hull and deck are molded fiberglass, the mast is keel stepped, her keel is fin shaped, and the rudder is attached to a skeg. Masts are aluminum, and Rigging is stainless steel with a furling Jib. There are two 45# CQR anchors w/ 3/4” rodes and 3/8” chains, and 3 sheet and 2 halyard winches. Life jackets and fire extinguishers are aboad.
