General Details

This 35' Duffy Downeast Custom is located in Rhode Island

Duffy&Duffy 35 1988 lobster yacht.  3208 Cat diesel, fiberglass hull,
short cab, helm door, large fishing and entertaining cockpit.

Duffy's are known for their great fishing ability, and the first owner did just that.

The second (and current) owner wanted a few more creature comforts. If you're looking for a Duffy
fishing boat - this probably isn't it. You could certainly use it as such, but with the new varnish work,
artworks (literally) built into the cabinets below, teak and holly sole in the wheelhouse, and general comfort of the sleeping quarters, this is more the perfect picnic boat and/or family day boat than it is for hauling tuna aboard - but you could.

Powered by a Cat 3208, she'll lope along easily at 22 knots. Trips to Block or Cutty Hunk or just cruising the Bay, are just a short trip away. As the owner says, she's a 1 1/2 hour boat. 1 1/2 hours to Block and 1 1/2 hours to Cutty. Of course that depends on where you're starting from.

The Cat 3208 is considered one of the finest engines they have made, and with only 4400 hours
on this one, she has many, many hours ahead of her.

The accomodations are very well thought through. Comfortable seating under the bimini top on the expansive aft deck, are continued into the wheelhouse and then again down below into the master berth complete with a large full length cedar closet.

Super custom finish inside and out.  Cockpit lockers, stern door, wide varnished teak trim.  Outside shower.Custom cockpit settee with cushions, cooler and storage built inside. New awning, full side curtain enclosure, cockpit cover.  Custom teak bow sprit, Duffy ss bow rail, ss hand rails.

Wheelhouse has sound proofing headliner, new windows, hand laid teak and holly floor, numerous hatches for easy engine access.  New 2012 large hot water heater.  Settee with ultra suede upholstery, mahogany  and teak pedestal table,  custom mahogany and leather helm and passenger seats.  Passenger seat folds flat.

Below,Beautiful, large, mahogany and curly maple galley.  Propane stove, polished ss sink.  Lots of cabinets and lockers. Large, well insulated ice box with refrigeration.  Herrshoff finish. Hand laid teak and holly floors.

Head has vacu-flush toilet, shower, storage cabinets above and below the sink.

Forward, cedar lined hanging locker, full bureau with hidden security space, storage under and over bunks.  Custom memory foam mattresses with insert, fitted sheets and quilt.  Folding mahogany door for privacy.

The owners' wife, an artist, painted some wonderful waterfront scenes that are installed into the cabinets in the nicely appointed galley, giving a magnificent touch of class to this classy vessel.
