"IBIS" is a very handsome Flag blue awlgripped B-40 MK II yawl which has been completely restored since 2007 by one of Maine's well-known boatyards. This is one of the finest examples of a B-40 MK II that this office has seen. She has had only four owners since her original construction; and she shows exceptional care and looks much younger than her years. Please review the long list of upgrades and the work completed. 


Sleeps six in two cabins with separate head and galley. Varnished mahogany interior finish, interior completely repainted and revarnished, 2007. Teak and holly sole, varnished. White painted overhead, 2007. Curtains, 2007. Sand ultrasuede berth cushions, 2007. Clarion AM/FM/CD player and speakers, 2007. Flat screen TV w/ antenna.  
The full-width main salon has an opening hatch above and ports with curtains port and starboard. There are 12V lights mounted on the port and starboard forward and aft bulkheads. Dining table is centerline with a varnished mahogany drop-leaf table that seats six comfortably. 2 built-in silverware drawers. Bulkhead stored extension to the dining table. Port and starboard pull-out settee/transom berths in salon with port and starboard pilot berths outboard. Berths to port are 6´3". Berths to starboard are 6´6". 3 storage drawers under each berth. Locker forward of starboard pilot berth. Flexible long neck halogen lights, 2001, mounted aft at port and starboard pilot berths. Shelves are mounted over each pilot berth. Located on the port forward bulkhead are Shipmate S/S cabin heater/fireplace (charcoal or wood), and varnished mahogany bookshelf. Hanging locker forward of the settee to starboard, with a shelf top and a port over, which adds extra light.  
Nav Station
Refrigeration countertop is the chart table. Chart storage drop down is above the countertop.
Forward Stateroom
Owner's cabin has a solid mahogany door for privacy. Open overhead hatch with screen, and three ports with curtains. 6´8" Vee berths forward with filler cushion. A seat is located between the berths with matching cushion. Shelves are over outboard port and starboard. Storage under each berth; 2 hanging lockers are aft to starboard. Port aft is a dresser with four drawers and a drop-front locker Vented mahogany doors access the forepeak area and anchor rode locker. Custom companionway screen storage in overhead. 12V lights, port and starboard.  
Private head with solid mahogany door. Off-white Formica countertop. S/S sink with fixtures. Telephone-type shower fixture, bulkhead mounted. Hot and cold pressure water. Wilcox-Crittenden head with holding tank system, 2007. Medicine cabinet with mirror. 12V lights port and starboard. Built-in clothes hamper; linen storage. S/S towel bar. Opening port with screen. Extra light in the head is provided by a custom deck prism.  
Flag blue awlgrip topsides 2007, gold cove stripe, white boottop, red bottom. Stripped and applied 9 coats of varnish on all teak trim, 2007. Solid hand-laid fiberglass hull reinforced with additional laminations in all stress areas. Deck is set in a 6” molded hull flange, fiberglassed and bolted to form a permanent hull/deck joint. Deck has molded-in non-skid pattern, awlgripped white, 2007. S/S on teak guardrail at sheer. Keel- external lead 6,500 lbs; keel is fastened with S/S bolts. Centerboard-worm gear operated bronze centerboard with grounding override.

Varnished teak toerails, exterior trim, handrails, aft lazarette tops, coaming, and companionway hatch. Cleats including midship cleats. 2 S/S dorade ventilators in varnished teak dorade boxes, 2007, with S/S guard rails. Rebedded and replaced all portlights, 2007. 7 smaller ports. 4 larger ports. 2 double hinged opening varnished teak hatches with white hatch covers.
2007 Simrad autopilot in pod at helm. 2007 Garmin 2006C chartplotter in cabin on swing-out arm with Maine chip. 2007 Furuno color radar/GPS-plotter in pod at helm. 2010 Raymarine depth, wind and speed. ICOM M126 DCS VHF. Danforth 6" Constellation binnacle compass.
Cockpit has a high cockpit coaming of varnished teak with built-in winch pockets. Equipment and sail locker storage is available in the locking, opening, watertight cockpit seats with molded in nonskid. Teak cockpit grate. Engine gauges forward in the cockpit well. System switches to port of the helm in the cockpit well. Two electric Lewmar 48 primary winches, 2007. Dodger. Bimini & cover, usable while sailing. Awning with battens. Full cockpit cushions, 2007. Edson steering wheel and elkhide covering, 2007. S/S binnacle guard with mounted autopilot and radar instruments. Compass is binnacle mounted with S/S cover. HRH fold-down varnished teak cockpit table with fold-down leaves. Wheel/binnacle/cockpit table cover. The centerline companionway hatch has varnished teak vented hatch boards and sliding top. There are screens for the hatches that store above the vee berth.

2007 Yanmar 4JH4, 52 hp, 4 cylinder diesel, FWC. Tachometer. Ammeter. Oil pressure and temperature gauges. Water lift exhaust system. Engine alarm system. Engine compartment blower. S/S 6 gallon 12V/engine heater water heater. LPG system for galley stove with solenoid switch; gas stored in aft lazarette in two 10lb aluminum bottles with pressure gauge S2 propane fume detector. S/S shaft; 3-bladed prop.

Awlgripped white tapered aluminum mast and mizzen masts; S/S 1x19 rigging, 2007. Running rigging, 2007. Harken roller furling. Jiffy reefing. Spinnaker and gear pole. Genoa gear. Cockpit mainsheet traveler.   WINCHES: Electric Lewmar 48 sheet winches; 2 Lewmar 30 secondary sheet winches. Lewmar 30 main halyard and mainsheet winches on trunk cabin top by companionway.   SAILS: (by Bohndell in 2007): 2007  Mainsail with lazy jacks and Dutchman system. 2007 135% genoa. 2007 Mizzen. 1986 140% genoa - manufacturer unknown.
