General Details

This well maintained 1986 Silverton 40 Aft Cabin Motor Yacht, powered by twin Caterpillar 3208T engines, is located in Bridgeport, CT and ready for her next loving owner.

"Morning Star" truly offers all the comforts of home, and then some. From the moment you step aboard, you'll be struck by the spacious layout, thanks to the 14 foot beam. The carpeted aft cockpit offers plenty of seating, with a full overhead bimini-like sunshade that connects to the flybridge hard top. There's a full swim platform with ladder when you want to jump in the water to cool off.

Up on the flybridge, there's seating for six (including the helmsman) to enjoy the ride. The hard top offers lockable instrument storage and has a 3-sided enclosure to protect you.

From the aft cockpit, you  enter the spacious salon, with a wet bar (including ice maker) and plenty of seating and storage. Just forward and down are the fully equipped galley to port and six-seat convertible dinette to starboard. Forward of those is a head with separate curtained shower and guest cabin with a generous V-berth and plenty of hanging and drawer storage. The master cabin is aft, with a center-line queen berth, nightstand, dressing table, hanging lockers, drawers, storage cabinets, and a private head with an enclosed shower.

Comfort below is a given, with three air conditioners, one for the aft cabin, one for the main salon, and one for the galley/dinette/V-berth. The Westerbeke generator will provide all the power you need when you can't connect to shore power.

There is a 4th air conditioner dedicated to the engine compartment, enhancing the performance of the twin fresh-water cooled Caterpillar 3208T diesels. These "Cats" are proven workhorses that will provide dependable power for years to come.

This is a lot of boat for the money and well worth a look.
