General Details

DADS' WATCH is a must see for anyone seriously in the market for an "as new" Offshore 54. This yacht has been lovingly cared for by her original owners with nothing but professional care her entire life. Winter-stored in a heated building all her life, DADS' WATCH has been spared the ravages of the Florida environment as well as the wear and tear of boats in the water 12 mos/year. Essentially she has only seen the equivalent of 5 years of in-water use! She features the special "open layout" plan allowing a great sense of space as well as virtually unrestricted sight lines from the pilothouse and salon seating. She also features many upgrades and factory extras too numerous to fully list. She is in excellent condition and would make a perfect live aboard, great loop yacht or generally great cruiser. She is a tremendous value in the 50-60’ market and is thoroughly deserving of your attention.

Specifications

Vessel Walkthrough
Boarding from either port or starboard on the wide and deep integral swim platform (featuring shower and fresh/salt washdown spigots), one proceeds through the transom door (starboard of center) to the expansive cockpit. The cockpit is large enough for a table for six, and features lazarette with engine room access, two separate sole storage spaces, and second forward hatch for engine access, helm/engine controls to starboard and cabinet console to port with Icemaker, sink and storage. (Third engine room access if by teak hatch in galley sole) Beautiful teak cap rails top the coaming with custom protective covers. Proceeding forward either to port or starboard are the comfortable non-skid side decks with stainless steel stanchions and rails wrapping from side to side and leading to quite sizable foredeck and forepeak. There is a translucent hatch for light and ventilation of the forward stateroom. There are redundant electrical inlets forward to port and aft and starboard for convenience. Approximately midway on either side are bulwark boarding gates and rail breaks for midship boarding, as well as 2 more rail breaks forward creating 8 different boarding points on the yacht. Back to cockpit and starboard of salon sliding entry doors is ladder access to the flybridge with dogging weather hatch. Entering the salon there are two swiveling barrel chairs to starboard with a wall mounted flat screen TV between them. A large U shaped settee is to port with hi-lo teak table which converts to full size dining for up to 8 with leaves. Sole is an upgraded teak and holly and carries forward throughout the entire interior of the yacht. Forward and to port is the more than ample fully equipped galley with Corian like counter tops and generous cabinet and drawer storage. Opposite galley and to starboard is a large teak storage console featuring pullout trays and generous drawer storage. This very useful storage space is not usually found on other 54’s due to a second stairwell monopolizing this area instead.  Proceeding up a couple of steps (slightly starboard of center) to the Pilothouse there is a sizeable settee/double berth with custom teak dining table for 3-5. This area easily converts to an extra sleeping area by lowering the table and adding special cushions. Forward of this area is the adjoining center helm with 2 full size “Stidd” quality leatherette helm chairs with headrests, and full-featured helm with terrific 360 degree visibility. Pilothouse is mostly open aft to galley allowing clear sight lines aft. Just aft of chairs are port and starboard sliding doors for easy side deck access. Aft of helm and to starboard is the teak stairwell up to the flybridge with tinted Plexiglas dogging hatch for weather tightness. Just forward of the stairs is yet another storage cabinet and counter. Immediately aft and to starboard on flybridge is the upgraded and optional reclining chaise lounge for underway relaxation with a forward view. Opposite and to port is a large L-shaped cushioned seating area with two dining tables and custom canvas covers. (For all the helm area components including Pompanette seats) Helm is on center and is fully featured and instrumented. Slightly to port and below wheel is the food/drink pass-through to the pilothouse. Aft of seating area is a large and full beam aft deck which stores the ship’s tender and holds the 1000lb Marquipt davit. All decks are molded non-skid, and the aft deck has secondary access point aft and to starboard down to the cockpit. Flybridge features the upgraded Pipewelders top with stamoid cover and rugged radar arch. Back down to pilothouse proceeding starboard of the helm is a well-proportioned curved stairwell down the accommodations level landing. Forward on center is the guest/VIP stateroom with raised queen berth. There is dimmer lighting (an extra featured through entire vessel interior), two hanging closets (louvered doors as throughout whole vessel), small vanity area, generous drawers and cabinets and opening port lights as well as 110V outlets and small TV. From the foyer/landing area there are stacking washer and dryer units to starboard. Opposite and to port is the day/guest head with full vanity, medicine chest, generous cabinet and drawer storage. This head has a separate standup shower stall with opening port light all the way to port. Just forward of shower stall is the headhunter head with storage cabinet above. From the foyer proceeding aft and down a couple of steps is the Master stateroom featuring 3 hanging lockers, large vanity/storage unit all across aft bulkhead, generous under berth storage, two night tables, reading sconces, halogen down lighting, convenience 110Voutlets, and ensuite head to starboard. Head features headhunter commode, large vanity with generous storage, mirrored medicine cabinet, and separate standup shower stall. Master stateroom is amidships for quiet and stability.
