General Details

"Endurance" was specially ordered by a knowledgeable and experienced boater with over 40 years of experience, and was intended to be the very best American Tug built. It is the only 395 model with a flybridge built to date, and one of only two with a 480 hp engine which provides both higher speeds (15-17 kt cruise, 20-21 kt top speed) and better fuel economy compared with standard power."

The construction of the boat specified no balsa coring to be used anywhere. Standard American Tug construction practices use balsa coring in the forward and side decks, and aft cabin bulkhead. The goal was to improve on the already very high quality construction even further by specifying the core in all of these areas to be Airex C70 (all other superstructure areas use NidaCore, and the hull is solid glass).

The American Tug is built with vinylester resin in the outer coats throughout the boat, and comes with a factory 10 year warranty. This boat exceeded standard specifications with soda blasting and epoxy barrier coating of the hull, followed by premium bottom paint.

The boat has been fastidiously professionally yard-maintained with an “open checkbook” policy. The boat has been waxed twice this season, and the oil and transmission fluids, and all filters, were just changed at 65 hours. It is better than new, having been thoroughly commissioned, and has only 70 hours. It is in the water on the upper Chesapeake Bay, and ready to go.

The Tug has been waxed, new zincs added and ready for the 2014 season, turn key and cruise.

"THIS IS YOUR LAST CHANCE TO PURCHASE THE FINEST AMERICAN TUG"  9/18/2014 this boat will be removed from the market.
