This 43 features the galley-down version with two staterooms, one head, and a salon that is much more spacious than the galley-up version. Staterooms, head, and galley are all on the same level.
The master stateroom is furthest forward. A queen-sized pedestal berth has drawer storage beneath and is flanked by side locker storage. Aft to port is the hanging locker door and flush-mounted television. A privacy door to this cabin opens into the passageway. To starboard is the door to the head. A second door in the head allows access from the passageway, for use of the occupants in the guest cabin (upper/lower berths) aft of the head.
Across from the guest cabin is the U-shaped galley, and up a couple of steps aft is the salon with it's swivel chairs to starboard and a sleeper sofa to port.
The bar and electrical panel occupy the starboard aft corner of the salon.
Entertainment system is comprised of a 19" Sony TV, Hitachi VCR, Denon DVD player, and a Yamaha AM/FM receiver. Wetbar w/ sink and U-Line icemaker. The joinery is white oak and there are upholstered valances.Beige carpet.Curtains and blinds. Plexiglass cocktail table, two swivel armchairs in a plaid fabric.
There is a cavernous rod locker in the overhead. The salon door is aluminum with two glass windows.
The down-galley configuration provides a welcome separation of food prep & cooking from the salon, yet not so much as to socially isolate the two areas. This model also allows space for a dinette in the starboard forward corner of the salon--although that option was not added to this particular boat.
Oak parquet sole. Formica countertops and cabinet faces which close out lots of storage volume, GE refrigerator/freezer w/ icemaker, Quasar microwave oven, Princess 3-burner stovetop, stainless steel sink + single lever faucet, and garbage disposal. Large pantry.
