This is a beautifully reconditioned 1994 Contender 25 Open with original twin bullet proof Yamaha 200 saltwater series outboards. Man she rides like a brand new Cadillac, and fast. She will run 56 at WOT! She holds 196 gal of fuel and has a range of around 350 miles at a cruising speed of 36-39 Kts!
She has a live well and two rear fish lockers in the aft. In the bow, she has a huge center fish locker, two large side fish lockers and one center storage locker. The center console opens to a large interior space (no toilet) where all electronics are easily accessible. In the rear is a removable, large jump seat easily capable of seating four people. All upholstery has just been redone by Kerry Conway at Causas Cushions, here in town, including a new Weblon T top canvas which is white on top and sea foam underneath. Up front I have added a large anchor locker hatch on the top side for much easier access. The LED nav light and chocks are pop up stainless products but I left the original lifting eye for character. She was painted by Tim Quante over at Yacht Management this summer. For the hull we used Seafoam Awl Craft and for the topside we used off white revisited Awl Grip. The rub rail and stainless insert are brand new as well to give it the clean look she deserves. The T top, leaning post and jump seat were all powder coated by Savannah Powder Coating to protect and show cleanly.
The trailer has two brand new torsion axles, tongue, bunk brackets, u-bolts and carpet. Additionally, I have welded every joint that can be welded on the fenders and put a pair of new LED trailer lights.
As for the electronics, there is a Garmin 2010c, 320c and two new Uniden VHF units. The sound system is top notch with a fusion ms-ip700i, 4 JL Audio 880s, two 770s and a JL 600x6 amp. She is loud!
