Th is 38 Jupiter represents the finest in center console construction. Originally purchased in 2005, and repowered in late 2006 with Yamaha F250 Four Stroke Outboards,  the boat incorporates the highest quality electronics and the latest in electrical and lighting technology.   In 2008 the electronics were replaced with the top of the line brands including Northstar, Furuno, Icom, and Simrad/Robinson.  Then, in 2010/2011 the boat underwent a complete makeover including new Awlgrip paint, LED lighting, JL marine audio system, isinglass, and covers.  The engines are covered by the factory Yamaha warranty until November of 2011. A common question that people first ask is "are 250's enough horsepower for this boat"?   That depends: Are you in a hurry and is fuel economy not a concern for you?  The top speed of the boat is about 45 mph, with a cruise speed just under 35 mph.  The hull design of the 38 puts very little load on the motors, as evidenced by the incredible cruise fuel economy of 1.4 mpg and a range of over 450 miles.

Refits & Updates

2006/2007

The boat was originally equipped with Twin Yamaha 300 HPDI.
In November of 2006 the engines with replaced with twin 250
Yamaha Four Strokes. The Yamaha factory warranty on the
engines are valid through November 2011.



2008

The electronics were upgraded, including installation of the
Northstar 6100i Chartplotter, Furuno FCF-585 Digital Fishfinder,
Airmar Bronze Thru-Hull Transducer, Simrad AP26 Autopilot,
and the iCom IC-M504 VHF.


2010/2011

The hull sides were sanded and all scratches/blemishes were repaired. The hull sides were repainted with Awlgrip paint. The boot strip was also painted with Awlgrip and the Jupiter emblems/stickers were replaced. The entire inside of the boat was compounded and waxed several times to renew the factory finish. An extensive amount of updating was done to the boats electrical systems, canvass, and stereo.
