General Details

Beautiful 1987 50' Horstman Trimaran that was restored in 2009/2010.The Horstman design is the most spacious and most comfortable one in the trimaran world. This is the right yacht for long ocean sailing if you want comfort, speed and stability. She has 6 queen size beds, one in the aft cabin, 4 over the wings (two on each side and every single one is separated by a wall for privacy), and an additional pull out sofa that turns into another queen size bed, sleeps 12 people comfortably and can sleep many more. The forward cabin was turned into a walk in closet, that's also where one of the bathrooms is with a new electric toilet and a new one-unit washer/dryer. She has 3 toilets and 3 sinks, one in each hull, the shower is in the main hull. The galley has 2 brand new 3-way fridges (gas/12V/120V), new water heater, stove/oven, microwave, french doors from galley to pilot house which is very spacious and bright, very beautiful wood work throughout the whole yacht. She is cold molded, above waterline 3 layers of 9 oz fiberglass over 2 layers of marine grade 1/4" Douglas Fir plywood. Under the waterline are double the layers of fiberglass and along the keels an additional layer of 16 oz, so it's bullet proof.

The owner took off all the old paint and repainted the whole boat with 3 layers of two part white epoxy paint, he also primed the whole deck with 3 layers of two part epoxy primer. He built a new rudder that is deeper and stronger than the original one and wrapped it with countless layers of fiberglass plus additional 16 oz layer on the leading edge and on the bottom. He soaked it with penetrating epoxy to make it absolutely water tight. 3 layers of two part white bottom paint. All bronze through hulls are in good condition. All screws are stainless steel or bronze, no regular steel was used anywhere so there will be no rust. All this work and more was done in 2009/2010.

She was in the water for a year in 2010 and is now in dry storage. All of the sails are stored and in great condition. Rigging in good condition, all winches are self-tailing, including two 55's. Big electric windlass. 45 lbs Bruce anchor with over 150 ft of 1/2" heavy chain and an additional 45 lbs Danforth anchor.

Great running 4 cyl 66 hp turbo (88 hp) Yanmar diesel engine with only 349 original hrs. Mechanic went through and replaced hoses and a new starter was installed. Big Westerbeke generator with only 375 hrs. Her builder, a certified boat crafts man, used only top quality materials. She sails beautifully and fast. This is the right yacht to go around the world.
