General Details

Although quite capable of club racing, QUESTAR has never been raced and has been cruised very lightly in Southern California waters by her original owner. Always professionally maintained, she has only about 1,050 engine hours. The J/46 is the perfect combination of high quality fit and finish and excellent performance. She is rigged to be easily sailed by a couple. The J/46 was awarded the Sail Magazine Top Ten in 2000 and also the Sailing World Boat of the Year in 2000.

ACCOMMODATIONS
Very functional layout for cruising or offshore passage making. Attractive satin varnished cherry bulkheads and built-ins with cherry trim. Teak and holly veneer cabin soles. Double cabin aft to starboard with hanging locker and drawer storage. Opposite to port is the aft head with Raritan PH-2 toilet and wet shower. The U-shape galley is aft to port adjoining the main salon for ease of use at sea and has separate 3.5 cu.ft. top-loading freezer, double stainless sink, 6.5 cu. ft. top and front-loading refrigeration, 3 burner propane stove/oven and abundant dry goods storage. Opposite the galley is the large sit-down, forward facing navigation station. The comfortable main salon has an upholstered L-shape settee with drop leaf table to port with pilot berth outboard and a built-in settee opposite to starboard. The forward stateroom has twin berths with V-berth filler and en-suite head with separate stall shower. The cockpit dodger and helm bimini provide protection from the elements.
