General Details

Construction
All steelwork is grit blasted and zinc primed. Hull below the waterline and entire internal steelwork coated with tar epoxy. Externally topside filled where necessary and finished with 6 coats of marine paint applied over zinc primer. Hull and Superstructure are of 37.2 shipbuilding quality mild steel. Decks and superstructure do not show rust.

Engine

Ford Lehman 80 HP. Model 2712 E. Cooling with heat exchanger. Wet exhaust system. Paragon 2:1 Transmission. Shaft, Cutlass Bearing, Shaft stuffing box and seal are new as of 2006. New three bladed bronze propeller fitted. 22" X 13 "
Engine was over hauled in 2006. All new seals, bearings and rings.

Electrical equipment for machinery.

130 Amp Leese-Neville Alternator fitted. Three battery banks totaling
535 Amp/hour. Two for House Batteries and one for engine starting.
A three bank Automatic Battery charger is fitted in the engine room.
The engine room is natural ventilation. Entrance is through two removable panels on either side of the engine room.

Tanks

There are four tanks installed for a total of 308 gallons of Diesel.
These all have baffles and access plates. One is under the Pilot Berth; two under the Aft Cabin Berth and the fourth is a Keel tank.

One 211-gallon stainless steel water tank with baffles and access plates. Sits under the Galley and Head deck. VDO gauge fitted with solid-state sensor.

Seacocks

Marine Ball Valve with bronze chromium plated ball.

Steering

Whitlock mechanical rod and gear steering. Commonly called Mamba System. Emergency Tiller installation on top of rudderstock. A pedestal with wooden steering wheel - 24 inch.

Pumps.

Electric freshwater pump with multi-point water supply and 6 gallon Accumulator tank fitted. There are three separate bilges in this vessel. There are three separate electric bilge pumps. Shaft alley and engine room have a common manual bilge pump. Forward bilge has a bilge pump of its own.

Electric Equipment
New Paneltronics DC breaker panel fitted in the Chart table area. New AC breaker panel in Main Saloon area. 120 Volt AC shore connector with new Dock wire connector.

Pressure Water Heating.

A Force-10 Eleven Gallon Water heater is fitted in the bilge under the Main Saloon deck. This is 120 Volt AC and Engine Cooling system heated.

Bathrooms.
One Head with fiberglass shower pan and Teak grating. A Lavac toilet is fitted with Whale discharge pump. An MSD Marine Sanitary Device is fitted for human waste. A custom sink is installed and hand held shower fixture. The drain for the shower and sink flow into a custom shower sump.

The second Head on this vessel was decommissioned and made a storage closet.

Galley

This is an L-shaped Galley. The double SS sink is inboard and faces the Main Saloon. It has a Bronze mixing water tap for hot and cold pressure water control. A Bronze seawater pump is also mounted. Next is the gimbaled 2-burner LP gas stove/oven with remote On/Off controls. Further aft is a new ice box/freezer custom built.

Ventilation

16 Bronze opening Port lights, eight each side. One Dorade type vent. In the Main Saloon are four Lewmar hatches. Two are 20 X 20 and two are
7 X 13. There is one more 20 X 20 Hatch in the Owners Cabin. There is a 21 X 21 Forward Hatch in the Vee Birth.

Deck Fittings

Stainless steel bollards forward, aft and amidships. Stainless steel handrails completely encompass the perimeter of the vessel.

Ground Tackle Dual Nylon rollers with SS fittings to allow use and stowage of two anchors. One 55 lb Plow Anchor with 200 feet 1/2 inch chain and 200 feet anchor rode. Woodwork and Insulation Hatches, doors, interior handrails, parquet flooring of teak. Internal lining of mahogany faced plywood. Overhead of Norwegian t & g pine. Entire steelwork from deck to floor level insulated with glass wool and polystyrene foam. Upholstery Settees and mattresses of good quality foam rubber with durable covers. Mattresses and seats are 4" think and backrests are 3 inch. Electronics Autopilot is Simrad AP-20. Controls are Binnacle mounted. Depth Sounder and Speed Log is Simrad combination unit. Danforth 8 inch Constellation Binnacle Compass. Alden EPIRB mounted in companionway.
