General Details

The Out Island 41 was not only one of the first designs targeted at the emerging bareboat charter industry (the original "charter barge," if you will), it was also one of the first center-cockpit boats and one of the first to blatantly discount sailing performance in favor of maximum accommodation space.
This much loved but bulky looking Out Island is prized for those pragmatic Cruisers who value comfort and space.
This Beauty has enough sleeping space to accommodate up to 8 passengers comfortably. Its basic footprint includes a large segregated owners stateroom aft, lots of communal living space in the middle and another guest stateroom forward. The salon's sleeping arrangement consists of a double berth at the dinette, a single settee berth across from that and a pilot berth up above. Currently there is a very nice electric fireplace in the pilot berth which not only allows for a nice cozy evening, but also helps warm the cabin.
This could work very well for someone wanting to take some serious trips with a crew of 2. The aft cabin will work very well as crew quarters, or, it might work best for a family boat. Alternatively, it might make a spacious home for a couple who like to have a spare cabin for visitors.
The storage is in this Morgan is absolutely over the top. Everywhere you turn there is more storage. So much storage in fact that the seller is still finding stuff the previous owner left behind. Which brings up the next point, there are many, many spare parts for this boat that have been purchased over time. The seller doesn't know everything aboard.
There are 5 sails, including a 110' and 150', and a Gennaker as well. Also included:

Specifications

Condition
Very nice for its age. Seller is waxing the hull removing the oxidation on the port side, which receives the most sun. Fairly new upholstery in the salon. New Yanmar Diesel Engine has only 150 hours and runs like a champ! This is a very nice boat for a fan of Morgans. Finish quality on this older Morgan might seem a little dated and a bit rough around the edges, but this 41 footer has been remarkably well cared for.
