This is a Murray Chris Craft, built in 1987 at the peak of the best years before Chris Craft was sold out in 1989. This boat was built in the legendary Holland Mi plant and all but 38 of her total hours have been spent in fresh water. The 38 salt water hours have been mostly on a lift. The Crusader marine engines are full fresh water cooled, and the owner has a custom fresh water flush system so simple as throwing a lever to cleanse the salt out of the engines. The boat shows 0 defects as a result of the southern climate and salt water.
Description:
From the port side entry is from a door midships, leading down to the salon. Here is a combination galley, with rounded counter and very well made high bar stools. The galley has a full size refrigerator with freezer, a Gally Mate Countess stainless stove, microwave, and good size stainless sink. There are plenty of cabinets for storage. The salon has a corner sofa that has storage under, and an easy chair. There is a nice wide flat screen tv on the starboard side.In the center of the Salon is the engine room access. I got down in there and was amazed at how clean, and well maintained all the machinery was. The wiring and plumbing systems all-looked nice and shipshape.

Down and forward is the forward cabin with a bath and shower. There is an island queen bed with lots of storage as well as a hanging closet. There is a bunk to starboard as well.
Back up to the salon and toward aft on the port side is a stair well to the aft cabin. The aft cabin has a king size bed that you can walk around and great storage including a hanging closet. Forward to starboard is the master bath with a great deep and wide shower and tub combination. Both heads are vacuflush, and the vanities and cabinets are very roomy. The cabins are well lit and ventilated with many windows.
Up the steps to the salon and a right turn up to the aft deck and navigation station.
The command center has many gauges and instruments well placed to monitor the engines. The electronics are well placed and fully functional. There are two seats at the nav center for the captain and first mate. To aft is a large sitting area with storage. The Stamoid covering opens up everywhere to let in fresh air, and the isinglass is crystal clear. There is new marine grade carpeting in the deck area and the carpet in the rest of the vessel was replaced a year ago. There has been no expense spared on the appointments on this boat. The new camper top and Bimini are made from high grade marine Stamoid and will last a long time.
Here is the lowdown on the fabric:

Group 2 - Vinyl Coated Polyesters
This group provides some popular boat cover material choices for the high end group of boaters.
Stamoid - 5 year limited warranty tough , beautiful and more expensive.

Pros: Very easy to clean, cool to the touch in very hot weather, tough.

Very long lasting, waterproof. Done right it makes a beautiful boat cover.

Cons - A little more difficult to fabricate with due to the lack of stretch (can show more wrinkles depending on the skill of the fabricator).

Again, everything that has been done to this boat has been done first class.

Condition
This has to be the best, most well cared for and clean Chris Craft Catalina 38 DC afloat. In general, Very Good, I would call it Bristol. Every detail on this boat has been attended to. If it was not replaced, it was redone as new. No expense has been spared and it shows. You can eat off the engine room floor, and I took a picture of it to show you. The gel coat is shinny and well polished, and the walkways and decks are like new. She is roomy, comfortable and classy. Heads will turn when you pull up to the dock in this baby.
