1989 Fountain 35 Lightning

Throughout the decade of the 1980s Fountain Powerboats flourished. The success of the company was in large part due to the hands-on management style of its owner and the meticulous attention Fountain gave to the quality of his boats. From the beginning of the design and production process, Fountain insisted on using the best materials available for their construction. His company was one of the first in the boating industry to use space-age laminates, heralding a breakthrough in boat design and performance. Fountain was also a pioneer in using bidirectional, tridirectional, and quad-directional glass to improve and enhance performance, as well as paving the way for the use of lightweight coring material in constructing speedboats. One of his most impressive revolutionary designs involved the reconfiguration of the underneath of his boats by utilizing a notch transom, pad keel running surface that significantly improved the handling and performance of his speedboats.

This is a 105mph 35 foot Fountain Lightning that will capture attention anywhere she's launched.

As you can see by the photos, she's in great condition for her age. She needs a little cleaning and touch up her and there, but she runs strong. The twin 496 Strokers are said to put out around 950 horsepower. Enough to push this beauty to about 105 miles an hour across the water. The B&M Superchargers are very well matched on these blocks. The hour meter shows 789 hours. These engines were built the right way. Per the previous owner, she can carry approximately 190 gallons of fuel in two tanks.

The upholstery is in good shape and will clean up very nicely. The Sunpad covers on the engine hatches are brand new, as well as some of the trim in the cockpit. She's got enough room for all your friends and plenty of sleeping space to spend the night. A porta potty in the head for convenience and the on board water offers good comfort.

The sharp lines and quality behind this Fountain are evident. If you're in the market for a high quality high performance boat at a great price, give us a call today. This is a great purchase.
