Specifications

Introduction
From her hull layup to her custom mahogany interior, from deck detailing to her unique articulating rudder, “SPLENDIDE” represents an impressive blend of commercial standards and yacht luxury. The Nordhavn 62 begins with a set of highly polished female molds that are used to produce the flawless gel coat surfaces. The main deck is a continuous fiberglass laminate structure from stem to stern, including the front and sides of the saloon. While it is unusual for a semi-custom builder to tool the deck structure to this extent, Nordhavn Yachts feels it is worth the investment as the strength of the deck and the superior finish result in a product that has no equal. The wheelhouse, Portuguese bridge, and upper aft deck are all molded separately and attached to the one-piece lower deck structure. Extra care and expense have gone into the detailing of the deck tooling with relieved waterways, hardware bases, hatch bosses, and the like. Throughout the entire yacht, thoughtful planning and quality workmanship is evident. All horizontal walking surfaces are finished with a fine diamond-patterned non-skid, and teak decking. Every detail of SPLENDIDE shows the builder’s uncompromising approach to boat building. This Nordhavn 62 has been upgraded substantially by her previous three owners. SPLENDIDE has matured into a proven, timeless passagemaker that has achieved an impressive record of successful ocean voyages. Capable of cruising non-stop in excess of 3,000 nautical miles at 9 knots, she is a vessel designed to take her owners around the world in comfort and safety. Upgrades include a transom designed to board the vessel plus offers outstanding access to the sea; ensuring the ability to get in and out of the water with ease.  The office and laundry facility is best described as well done and extremely practical. The articulating rudder allows for much greater control when docking. UPGRADES NOT FOUND ON TYPICAL NORDHAVN 62 The most extensive all solid mahogany interior ever built by Nordhavn. Remarks

As all Nordhavns do, she has the come-home facility with an additional dedicated engine.  In addition, her engineering assures the best of redundancy with a totally self contrained Keel Cooling system for her machinery.  She even has a system to burn off the used oil when cruising long distances.  She also has the all important second generator. Her exterior is set apart from other Nordhavns with JUST ENOUGH teak trim to make her a yacht in lieu of just another rough passage maker. With her newly painted bottom, she is ready for any and all new adventures.
