General Details

This Ted Brewer designed Morgan 382 has a teardrop shaped hull, a wide beam and a reverse transom. It was designed to be a cruiser! They were manufactured between 1977 and 1986, with approximately 500 made.

In excess of 17,000 pounds, the boat is almost in the heavy-displacement category. The hull has an elongated fin keel, skeg-attached rudder, and roundish bilge.

Under sail, the wide deck offers excellent footing with many flat surfaces. The well designed cockpit offers clear views in all directions.

Specifications

Condition
This Morgan is in good condition! The bottom was painted in early 2014. Most repairs would be a the discretion of the new owner and cosmetic in nature. One item of note is a soft spot in the floor near the mast. The root problem was the the mast boot. A new boot has been installed by the current owner but the floor still needs to be repaired. The interior has been redone with pure Teak Wood! No In-lay like most other models. The inverter, a/c (16,000 btu), & lazy jacks are all new but have not been installed. The hot water system will also need to be reconnected after the inverter is in place. The water pressure system is also new and has been installed by the owner. This Morgan is a lot of bang for the buck! If your in the market for a cruiser, don't pass up an opportunity to see this one.!
