Beautiful Huckins Classic

This lovingly maintained motoryacht has a rarity of style and elegance that separates her from the ordinary. She was one of the first boats off the Huckins line after they ceased WWII production of PT Boats. She is a true piece of American maritime history. She is highly maintained and recently completed an ICW Cruise.

She sleeps 4 in 2 staterooms. There is an owner and guest staterooms including 1 guest head. There is a forward stateroom for two with vee-berths, a contiguous hanging locker and head.

Next is the spacious galley with built-in refrigerator, electric range and ample locker storage space.

Up two steps is the salon with a built-in L-shaped settee on the starboard side and custom Huckins folding table opposite. There are ample storage lockers in the salon.

Further aft and up three steps is the bridge deck with a centerline helm station. The bridge deck has been totally enclosed with full height doors to port and to starboard. The engines and generator are beneath the bridge deck sole.

Aft and down four steps is the master stateroom consisting of two wide berths, a chest of drawers, a hanging locker and master head with a stall shower.

A second helm station has been added to the aft bulkhead of the enclosed bridge with a venturi windscreen on the bridge top and two helm chairs mounted on the aft trunk cabin. The side decks are wide, and there is a flush aft-deck at the stern.

Highly maintained by a caring owner. The boat is in tremendous condition for her age and ready for many more years of service. May 2014 - Vessel was in the yard to repair a minor hull perforation. The mahogany planking was not perforated and the damage was isolated to the fiberglass skin. The vessel did not take on water however the wooden planking below was damaged by water absorption. This section of hull was removed and replaced by craftsmen who fitted each replacement piece of mahogany by hand. The entire section is rebuilt to high standard and the fiberglass skin coat replaced. Complete repair took over one month and cost over $10,000. The hull is now structurally sound and in a high state of condition.
