Paramour is a 55’ plus swim step Twin Diesel Monk Trawler. It was built in the USA in 1969 of fiberglass composites over a cold molded wood frame to a design by world famous naval architect Ed Monk and built by Southern California Research & Manufacturing in Venice California in 1969. Paramour features twin 460 H.P. fresh water cooled Lugger diesels. The port engine has 2847 hours but was rebuilt by Valley Power Systems less than 200 hours ago. The Starboard engine has 2937 hours. The yacht is well equipped for long distance voyaging, with Naiad stabilizers, auto pilot, 2 diesel generators , twin steering stations, central AC and heating and excellent navigation gear and radios. The 12KW Generator has 5288 hours and the 8KW Generator has 5071 hours.Both are professional maintained and serviced. The Paramour’s trawler design features twin helms with an enclosed pilothouse, fly bridge controls and a Portuguese bridge. A new suite of electronic radio/navigation gear has been installed. Paramour yacht’s mechanical systems are unusually comprehensive, and feature dual Racor filters on all engines, hydraulic anchor windlass, auto pilot, electric davit for the yacht tender, stabilizers, twin helm controls, five fuel tanks, extra props and many spares.
