General Details

A very popular boat, the Carver Aft Cabin has a somewhat boxy exterior that masks a surprisingly spacious interior with cruising accommodation for a small family. Built to a low-deadrise modified-V hull with a relatively wide beam, the floor plan was arranged with a single and a slide-out double berth in the master stateroom and a V-berth forward. The stall shower is in the forward head, there is a lower helm, and the salon sofa converts to a double berth. On deck, the small aft deck can accommodate a couple of folding chairs. Additional features include a bow pulpit, flybridge seating for three, a swim platform, and a teak interior trim.

Vessel Appears to be in Good condition. The vessel has been owned by the current owner for 6 years. She was used as a stay aboard while owner worked in Washington, D.C. Owner is selling only because he upgraded to a bigger boat in September 2013. The vessel was pulled out of the water last Fall for routine maintenance and survey for insurance. Vessel is USCG documented. Bottom painted and zincs are new this past Spring 2014. Awnings for flying bridge and aft deck are only 3 years old. Aft HVAC unit only 2 years old and works well.. Extremely reliable twin V-6 Crusaders engines. Rebuilt carburetors in 2008. Remote filters added. According to owner, she is sea worthy and runs very well. At about 10-12 knots, the engines run about 4 gallons an hour, so REALLY great on gas! Boat has been dramatically simplified for cost and ease of maintenance. Starboard fuel tank removed("pony tank" added) under aft bunk to minimize fuel carried and increase storage. Starboard water tank converted to sanitary tank for increased holding capacity. MSD removed. Forward head removed. Forward head and starboard fuel tank available as spares. Lots of space and features. She is simple to maintain and very easy to operate. Perfect boat for cruising, live aboard, or entertaining.
