General Details

Chris-Craft is a well established name in the boating community. Building boats for 140 years the name evokes thoughts of beautiful design, functionality, and quality construction. By 1971 Chris Craft completely phased out construction of mahogany wood hulls with the completion of the 57 foot Constellation model.

This 1967 Sport Fisher is not the first fiberglass hull as Chris Craft had been building glass boats since 1956. The hull is solid and the stringers are boxed fiberglass, no wood, although wood is found in the construction it is employed as support members. Mahogany is used throughout, however, in the cockpit bulkheads, the cabin, and trim.

The engine is a Kodiak 350 (GM) with electronic ignition. It is coupled with a Borg Warner Velvet drive and power is supplemented with a Honda 15 horse trolling motor for trolling but is powerful enough to push the boat at higher speeds. The out board has its own controls and can be fixed in place to steer with the rudder or with a custom tiller handle.

The cockpit is roomy and the deck panels can be removed to easily access the engine, the drive, and fuel tanks. The fly bridge is broad, and the boat is handily skippered from the helm station there.

The interior of the cabin sports a dinette to port, Helm station to starboard and a small galley area. A V berth is forward which contains the locker for the anchor rode, and a portable toilet. Canvas covers are included which covers the fly bridge and cockpit. The hull showed no major cuts or gouges and polishes out to good shine. The owner installed a heat and vent system in the engine space for use in the off season.

The trailer is custom built by the previous owner and is good condition. Each wheel has a brake.

Although the current owner has enjoyed the boat for many years and takes pride in her life changes dictate it is time to move on.
