This beautifully kept and upgraded 36’ Hatteras 1986 Convertible Sportfish is for sale and located in Stamford, CT.
**This is the Least Expensive 36' Hatteras on the American market.
This 36 Hatteras is a good looking yacht even by today’s standards for a classic sport fish look. “The 36 Hatteras Convertible embodied the signature syling and quality construction of all Hatteras convertibles built in the 1980s” The 36 was built on a hull designed by Jim Wynne who is a well known yacht designer responsible for some great yacht features and performance characteristics. She is a capable offshore boat with good seakeeping attributes. Hatteras offered several stateroom layouts and this one was most desirable with a good sized salon, galley down and dinette down. In the brokers opinion this gave the most comfortable layout for entertaining, cruising or longer voyages. She sleeps four owners six owners and guests in a forward cabin vee-berth, convertible dinette and salon couch.
She is powered by twin gas engines which was the standard package with 350 hp. She has a genset for comfortable cruising power and features a French style double sliding salon door that opens the salon and cockpit with a wide view out. The salon is bright and airy and her large windows give a 360 degree view making this a fun yacht for anchoring. With all her Hatteras designed amenities and rich interior teak woods you still know that you are in the heart of a legendary fishing machine which her bold silhouette, tall bridge and the ride of an ocean going fishing machine.
This yacht presents well. She has had a number of new upgrades including new canvas, a new hard top from Atlantic Towers, new carpeting and replacement interior furniture. She also features stereo, VHF marine radio, GPS, radar and many other features and options. This yacht has been well kept and maintained over the years by a knowledgeable owner who has enjoyed cruising her for many seasons. She is priced to reflect that one engine needs rebuilding and one fuel tank should be replaced. This was taken into consideration in the pricing of this yacht. Her owner now does not have the time for usage due to professional commitments and has decided to offer her for sale. A winter service project would easily have her ready to good for an early spring and a great boating season. This also represents a good potential livaboard yacht.
She can be seen by appointment by contacting your listing broker and she is in the water. Her owner will consider all serious offers. Please contact us today for more information.
