- Stock #04146 When I first stepped aboard this beautifully maintained Post 42 Sport Fish I was immediately impressed by the roomy tournament style cockpit. The bait prep area features a sink with fresh water and tackle drawers to keep gear and equipment close to the action! The freezer built into the starboard bulkhead makes a great seat for watching trolling baits.
An easy climb up the sturdy stainless steel ladder topside revealed an expanded flying bridge, there is ample room for the full complement of electronics, Radar/Plotter Fish Finder, Depth Finder etc. that you will find there. Cushioned bench seating to port and in front of the console is in beautiful shape and will allow your guests to spread out and relax. Beneath each seat, there is abundant stowage for fishing rods and other bulky gear.
Going below I found a well appointed salon that has been beautifully redone, and is perfect for dining, and entertaining family and friends or just cruising, The 42's salon features an L-shaped sleeper lounge, settee and dinette and a 29'LCD TV with surround sound. I then stepped down, to the U-shaped galley that is a lesson in efficiency. There is a Lexan faced refrigerator freezer, two burner stove top and microvave/ convection oven, all within easy reach. Corian countertops and teak parquet paneling frame an abundance of functional cabinets and drawers capable of holding everything needed for extended cruising.
Beyond the salon and galley lies a two-stateroom layout. with the air-conditioned master cabin forward. The stateroom features a queen-size island berth with more than ample walk-around room and a 13" LCD TV. The guest stateroom is an air conditioned cabin with reverse cycle heat and overhead hatch features two comfortable 6' berths with reading lights and drawer storage below. A spacious hanging locker provides additional storage space for clothing and gear. There's private access to the freshwater head and a full stall shower with a seat. Additional access from the companionway will make it convenient for guests using the port stateroom. There is a washer/dryer in a dedicated alcove.
Going back outside I found that the engine room cockpit access would make routine maintenance easy and convenient. Plumbing, electrical and mechanical
systems are neatly installed. The well-lit machinery compartment is very clean
with good headroom and total accessibility around the Cummins diesel engines.
The seller stated that alternate sections of the boat are waxed monthly and I could not see any visible scratches or blemishes on the gelcoat anywhere on the boat.
My overall impression is that this owner is as knowledgeable as there is when it comes to maintaining a boat in "Yacht" condition. Every mechanical and electronic component seems to have been properly maintained. I saw little, or no cosmetic issues. It is in beautiful condition throughout! Stock ID: 04146
