This 22 foot, 1979 SISU Bass Boat is located in Apex, North Carolina. The SISU was designed by Royal Lowell for SISU, and is a smaller fiberglass descendant of the Maine lobster boat.
LOBO has been well maintained by her current owner her many recent upgrades include a re-Awlgrip in 2006, new aluminum fuel tank installed in 2006, new Bimini and cushions in 2011, a new forward hatch in 2011, and recently installed epoxied juniper tongue and groove woodwork on her exterior. She is powered by a smooth running 90 horsepower Honda four stroke with 900 hours to push LOBO along at a top speed of 24 knots. The dual axle trailer was overhauled in 2011 and includes new surge brakes. LOBO comes with a Raymarine A65 GPS / Chart Plotter with East Coast charts, and a depth sounder, as well as a new Standard Horizon VHF.
The SISU are known best for their sea keeping ability. And, with her sharp bow and semi-displacement hull these boats do not pound in a chop. Not to mention the 78 square feet of cockpit space and eye catching appeal. The ideal boat for light fishing, a family picnic, or a cruise the SISU is safe, easy to own and maintain, and stable.
