General Details

TAMBOR is a vintage Ted Irwin designed fiberglass sloop that was built during an era when hull thickness was the priority; so she is solid and sturdy, yet designed to sail fast due to her modern underbody. This Irwin 33 MKII is in good condition for a vessel of her age. She has a full keel; producing excellent performance upwind and on all other points of sail; yet ideal for exploring the shallows of your favorite gunk hole. TAMBOR is powered by a 4 cylinder Atomic four that has been well maintained and runs smoothly. Other features include Raymarine speed, depth and apparent wind direction and speed; and a Raymarine A70D chart plotter. TAMBOR has sleeping accommodations four six persons: two in the forward V berth, two on the port settee, one on the starboard settee, and one in the starboard quarter berth. TAMBOR has an enclosed head with shower. She is a masthead rig and is provided with a Furlex roller furling and has North sails which include a 100% and 150% genoa and main. The Irwin 33 has tons of storage in her large cockpit, and numerous storage compartments below decks for sailing gear, provisions and other equipment.
If you are looking for an affordable, solid and well maintained sloop capable of taking you safely and comfortably offshore for coastal passages, call now to schedule a personal inspection of this classic beauty.
