- This is an unusual boat and is well suited in commercial use as a dive charter, research or recovery vessel. she has also been used as a bottom fishing charter boat, tow boat, safety boat, and survey support vessel. Most forward is the full galley and settee that converts to crew bunks. Just aft is the captain's quarters with double berth to starboard, hanging lockers, and storage. A laddder on the aft bulkhead leads up to the Pilothouse helm with athwartships bench seating for 4. To port from the captain cabin is the head compartment with rear access to the working cockpit. This arrangement allows convenient access to the head for both passenger and crew use. The cockpit is where Offsfore Retriever earns her keep, and it is well set up for a variety of uses. The central helm is there for backing/towing/retreival manouvering and access to the winch. There is easy access to the engine and mechanicals in the forward cockpit and lots of storage for working gear. A custom aluminum dive platform with two fold down dive ladders is attached to the stern. a set of aluminum out riggers can be set up for stabilization, positoning or trolling.
