This 1978 C&C 38 MK II, located in Stratford, CT is powered by a 32 hp Yanmar 3QM diesel and a joy to sail. C&C built its reputation on racer/cruisers and the 38 is a fine example of their ability to combine performance and comfort. 

STARFIRE is flag blue, awlgripped in 2005. The large cockpit seats seven comfortably, and features a teak cockpit sole, beautiful teak coaming and teak-enhanced helm seating. 

Below, you’ll find accomodations for up to eight and beautiful teak paneling throughout.. The private forward cabin has a V-berth with drawers and counter top to port, full length shelved locker to starboard (easily converted to a hanging locker). Moving aft, the fully enclosed, generously sized head (with shower) is to port, with a full length wet hanging locker, counter, and storage to starboard. At the center of the main salon is a teak drop leaf table with deep center storage, flanked by full-length settee and pilot berths. The U-shaped galley is to starboard at the base of the companionway and includes a deep stainless steel sink with hot & cold pressure water, three-burner gimballed propane stove with oven, large icebox, and plenty of storage. The nav station is to port with a large quarter berth aft. 

While not raced by her current owner, STARFIRE is ready to compete, with a versatile deck layout, newer sails, full spinnaker gear, Garhauer jib lead adjustment system, and a PHRF rating of 123 (Long Island Sound). For cruising or racing, she also carries an asymmetrical spinnaker.
